Match Format
Tournament matches for NTRP Singles Sectional events and NTRP Mixed Doubles Sectional events will be standard scoring best two out of three tiebreak sets with First Match Losers Consolation. Consolation matches will be held on Sunday weather permitting. Format for all other events i.e. Open and age group events will be single elimination standard scoring best two out of three tiebreak sets.

Surface/Inclement Weather Policy
Tournament matches will be held on both outdoor and indoor har-tru (clay courts). In the event of rain play will be held on the indoor courts.

Connecticut Open is a WTA tournament held at the Connecticut Tennis
Center at Yale featuring a 30-player singles main draw, a 48-player
qualifying draw and a 16-team doubles draw with total prize money of
$799,000. The 2017 title was won by Australia’s Daria Gavrilova, who
collected her maiden WTA trophy as the tournament celebrated 20 years of

domestically through 50+ hours on ESPN2 and ESPN3 and is also broadcast

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, June 7, 2018 12 Noon Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
