PATHWAY REQUIREMENTS FOR COMPETING IN TOURNAMENTS
USTA NorCal has established a pathway for players aged 12 and under
to enter into the competitive tournament structure. The purpose of
the pathway is to ensure that juniors are playing at their
appropriate age and skill level. The pathway is mandatory.
Information on the pathway and the requirements of each level can
be found at
www.norcal.usta.com/juniors/TAUT_junior_development_pathway/.

46650 Landing Pkwy, at the corner of Warren Blvd, which is on the
west side of Hwy 880 at the south end of Fremont.
2. All players and guests must sign in at Front Desk upon

your match is called. (Please fill up your water bottle and use the

4. The Cafe hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Complimentary light snacks

5. The total number of entries in the tournament is limited to 32

submitting on online entry, the person's name is put on the
Applicant list. If more than 32 entries are received by the
deadline, we will select players by lot. According to USTA NorCal
regulations, entry is NOT on a FIRST COME - FIRST SERVED basis.
After the entry deadline, the tournament committee processes the
entries, which might include drawing names out of the hat to pare
down the list to a manageable number of players. Each applicant who
is selected will receive an automatically generated email
confirming their placement into the tournament, and their credit
card will be charged for the fees. The others will be put on the
Alternate list. For the players on the Alternate list, their entry
fee will not be charged to their credit card. If someone withdraws
after the draws have been posted on this website, a player from the
Alternate list will be chosen randomly to fill the spot, and will
be notified by phone and/or email. That person would then need to
submit the entry fee before playing as it can no longer be charged
by the system.
6. Draws will be posted by Wednesday afternoon. However, no times
will be posted since everyone will play at 12:45. Players will play
BOTH singles and doubles in a compass draw format. Players
registering without specifying a doubles partner will be paired
up at random by the Tournament Director. Play goes until 5:00
pm. ALL PLAYERS are to be at the tournament desk at the foot of the
stairs near the gym NO LATER than 12:45 to receive
instructions.
7. Entrants will play multiple matches (whether they win or lose)
in the 4 hour timeslot.
All matches use No-Ad scoring (i.e. the first player to win 4
points, ahead by 1, wins the game).
Matches are either 25 minutes or one 4 game set (whichever comes
first), No tie-break at 3-3; next game wins. There will be no
playoffs between flights.
Prizes will be awarded for combined results in singles and doubles,
with the singles weighted more heavily.
8. Matches are played on the 5 indoor courts and the 3 outdoor
courts at the tournament's discretion. Some warm-up courts may be
available immediately prior to 12:45. No warm-up courts will be
available during the event.
