THIS IS A MIDWEST LEVEL 3 / CITA LEVEL 1 TOURNAMENT.
NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED! Registration deadline is June
4, 2017.
WHEN REGISTERING FOR DOUBLES, YOU MUST SUBMIT YOUR PARTNER'S NAME
AND USTA #. Doubles registration MUST be done by the deadline;
a player cannot sign up for doubles at the tournament. Both
partners must either register on-line or contact the tournament
director by June 5, 2017.
TOURNAMENT WILL BE A 64 DRAW SINGLES FOR EACH DIVISION AND
INCLUDE A FEED-IN CONSOLATION. DOUBLES WILL BE A 32
SINGLE-ELIMINATION DRAW FOR EACH DIVISION. Competitors and

SITE INFORMATION:
The tournament will be played at Lawrence Central High School
(LC), 7300 East 56th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46226. The courts
are located behind the school on the east end near the football
stadium. Lawrence Central (LC) is located on 56th Street just east
I-465. If using I-465, take the 56th Street exit and go east. The
school is located on the left. Turn left onto Caito Drive at the
first stoplight past I-465. Turn right into the parking lot just
behind the building.
Additional site will be Lawrence North High School (LN),
7802 Hague Road, Indianapolis, IN 46256. The courts are located
behind the school on the north end near the football stadium.
Lawrence North (LN) is located on Hague Road between 82nd Street
and 75th Street. If using I-465, take the exit to I-69 North and
then exit onto 82nd Street. Go east on 82nd. Turn right at the
stoplight for Hague Road. The school will be on the right.
SCORING:
All Main Draw singles matches will play best 2 of 3 tiebreak sets
with a 10-point match tiebreak in lieu of the third set with
advantage scoring in all matches. After splitting sets, a player
will be entitled to a three-minute rest break before playing the
match tiebreak. The player is allowed to leave the court for
coaching but MUST be ready to play at the end of three
minutes.
FIC singles matches will play best 2 of 3 tiebreak sets with a
10-point match tiebreak in lieu of the third set with advantage
scoring in all matches. After splitting sets, a player will be
entitled to a three-minute rest break before playing the match
tiebreak. The player is allowed to leave the court for coaching but
MUST be ready to play at the end of three minutes.
Doubles matches will use advantage scoring playing an 8-game pro
set with a 7-point tiebreak if the score reaches 8-all. The doubles
final will be the best 2 of 3 tiebreak sets with a 10-point match
tiebreak in lieu of third set.

NUMBERS AND YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS.
The USTA Legal Department has determined that they cannot provide
contact information to tournament directors unless the customer
provides the contact information during the registration process.
Previously the home phone number and email address were pre-filled
from the USTA Membership database when a player went through the
online registration process. The pre-fill was removed due to
privacy concerns. If you don't provide an email address and/or
telephone number when you register for this tournament then we will
be unable to notify you about any possible changes in the
tournament.
TOURNAMENT CHECK IN:
Please be at the site of your scheduled match and check in at least
30-minutes prior to the start of your scheduled match time. Each
player must check in personally.
FRIDAY MATCH TIMES:
Matches will begin on Friday at 8:00 a.m.
PRACTICE COURTS:
Practice courts are available on a first come first serve basis.
There is no charge for practice courts (unless indoors). Players
must be willing to accommodate up to 4 tournament participants per
court. All 8:00 am matches will have practice courts available to
them at their match site starting at 7:30.
Off-site practice courts are available at Fall Creek Valley
Middle School, 9701 East 63rd Street, Indianapolis, IN 46236.
The courts are located behind the school.
DRESS CODE:
Acceptable tennis attire is required.

*** In each age group, if an earned quota position is not accepted by a
player and the Wild Card was not granted prior to the tournament, the
Wild card will be granted to the next highest eligible tournament participant on the first
Midwest ranking list that includes tournament results.

Selection to the Midwest Closed District
Quota spots or alternate positions cannot be awarded to a player, other than a
wildcard, who has not won a match at the District Qualifier. The Central
Indiana District has been allocated 13 "Quota" spots for automatic
selection to the 2018 Midwest Outdoor Closed tournament this year. The
Endorsement process has been updated to select players from the Central Indiana
District Championships - District Qualifier event in the BG 12-18 age
divisions. The following players shall
be awarded the “Quota” spots:
1) The 4 main draw semifinalists;
2) The 4 FIC Semifinalists;
3) The 5 highest ranked players who won at least one match at the District
Qualifier, based on the Midwest points list generated immediately after
completion of the District Qualifier, unless any of these spots has been taken
by a Wildcard position.
