In appreciation of good sportsmanship displayed during the tournament, we will recognize recipients on the tournament homepage and with a Sportsmanship Bag Tag from USTA NorCal. Good Sportsmanship is extremely important to this Tournament Committee and good behavior will be rewarded while poor behavior will be subject to the Point Penalty System. We'd much rather reward good behavior.

Doubles Pairings:
Doubles partners MUST be designated by 6 PM, Monday, June 5th. Email the tournament director and the tournament referee with pairings. Both players should agree to a pairing before notifying the tournament director and referee. All unpaired players remaining in the doubles draw after the deadline will be randomly paired provided that there is an even number of players remaining in the event. Main draw singles players who do not have partners will have first priority in pairing with other main draw singles players who also do not have partners. If an uneven number of players remain in the draw, one player by random selection will become the first alternate to the event. Players who do not wish to be randomly paired MUST remove themselves from the doubles event by emailing the referee and tournament director by the deadline of Monday, June 5th, at 6 PM.

are illness, injury, or personal circumstances.
Withdrawals after Draw is Made: Immediately email the

without the proper written notification are defaults and subject to penalty point assessment.
The required written verification of an injury or illness
must be from a medical professional. If a player is withdrawing because of a

situation and the Referee will determine whether the situation is a personal
emergency. It can be emailed to ckim410s@gmail.com and chrysa@sparetimeinc.com.

player being levied suspension points and any match that is not played will be
coded as a Default.

refunded if the player withdraws no later than seven days before the start date

CONCURRENT TOURNAMENT RULE
When entries close, a player shall not be
entered in two or more sanctioned tournaments if any parts of the tournaments
overlap, unless each Tournament Committee involved understands the situation
and concurs in writing. If entries for the overlapping tournaments close on
different dates, approval must be received from all Tournament Committees no
later than the entry closing date that occurs last. Players who enter a
tournament and play it to completion, may then enter another tournament with
overlapping dates without permission. A player who is on the alternate list in
one tournament is not considered in violation of the Concurrent Tournament Rule
if they enter another concurrent tournament.

IN CASE OF RAIN
Rain is highly unlikely in
Sacramento in June. In case it does rain, there will be no back up indoor
courts. We may change the match format before the start of play in any round in
a draw without notice on the tournament web page when in the Tournament
Committee’s discretion the change is necessary to complete the draw after
inclement weather causes the tournament to fall behind its published schedule.
We will use our best efforts to have all matches in a round in a draw use the
same match format. This also will
apply to extreme heat although we must get approval from USTA NorCal offices to
shorten formats.
