Thank you so much for signing up for the tournament this weekend! The temperatures look like they are going to be beautiful. I love Fall in Oklahoma. Despite a little rain in the forecast, I think we should have plenty of time to get all the matches played and I look forward to seeing everyone this weekend. The tournament will begin on Saturday at 8 am. Please check your draw for your specific match time. Draws will be posted Wednesday midday after review. There will be no matches played on Friday. As of now, the last matches of the tournament are scheduled at 9 am on Sunday. However, we can always move matches back and utilize more of Sunday if we run into rain on Saturday. This is an outdoor tournament. Make sure you dress your child appropriately for the weather. All matches will be played at Westwood Tennis Center, 2420 Westport Dr., Norman, OK 73069. The pro shop will open at 7 am on Saturday and 8 am on Sunday for warmup. However, the courts are unlocked so you may come as early as you like. ' No doubles events made for this tournament. USTA Oklahoma will be giving out 2 sportsmanship awards at this event. Players and parents are encouraged to nominate competitors who show good sportsmanship. All nominations will be due to the tournament by the end of the day on Saturday. The scoring format for the tournament will be best 2 out of 3 sets with a 10 point tiebreaker in lieu of a 3rd set. SCHEDULE OF PLAY AND TOURNAMENT INFO
I prefer to run my tournaments on Saturday and Sunday so that kids do not have to miss school and parents do not have to miss work. However, if the entry count is high enough or the weather forecast is an issue, play may begin as early at 5 pm on Friday. Sportsmanship
Players, parents and coaches are expected to exhibit great sportsmanship that is aligned with USTA's values. At each USTA Oklahoma tournament a Sportsmanship skillzy is given out to a player that goes above and beyond to demonstrate sportsmanship on and off the court. Players and parents are encouraged to nominate competitors for this award. Nominations will be accepted at the tournament desk.

WITHDRAWS AND REFUNDS Before the Entry Deadline: Needs to be done through the online registration process. Click on the "Withdraw" link in the Edit Registration box to the left to complete. Your credit card will not be charged. Click on the "Locate Confirmation No" link if you have misplaced the confirmation number. There will be no refunds after the deadline.

SCORING
Scoring for singles is two out of three sets with a 10-point match tiebreak played in lieu of the 3rd set, regular scoring. Doubles is an 8-game pro set with a 7-point tiebreak at 8-all, regular scoring.

ELIGIBILITY CHALLENGERS This tournament is reserved for Oklahoma resident players only. This event is part of the Challenger circuit for players trying to qualify for the Champs circuit. Champ players should not play Challengers unless they are 2-3 months away from aging up and will not meet the aging up rule for Champs. To participate in BG12 Green, players must be age eligible and/or complete their 10 and under requirements. Please visit www.oklahoma.usta.com for 2018 USTA Oklahoma Rules and Regulations. Seeding will be completed off the players junior UTR.

DOUBLES-In order to play doubles, player must register for doubles (Player is not eligible for doubles if they only signed up for singles) by the deadline, Tuesday at NOON. Once the deadline and selections have been made, the Competitor list will be published. Players (who registered for doubles) can then email the TD who their doubles partner is. All other players without a partner would be placed in a blind draw. The deadline to email the TD is Wednesday at NOON.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Tuesday, October 17, 2017 11:59:00 AM Central Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
