Draw Limits
Each draw will be limited to 16 players with an Feed in thru Quarterfinals (FICQ) and a 3/4 playoff. Draws that are larger than 16 have been given permission to be waterfalled to accomodate the larger numbers. See below for more details.
Waterfall system- Taking cost and school day factors into account, this allows tournaments to be completed in just two days and provides players with the opportunity to earn more ranking points. Each division that has 24 or more players will be split into two separate draws. Players will then be "waterfalled" into two balanced draws based on the selection lists in the following order: Red: 1,4,5,8,9,12,13,16,17,20,21,24,25,28,29,32. White: 2,3,6,7,10,11,14,15,18,19,22,23,26,27,30,31. Selections will be made using the most up to date NC Standings. Seeds will be determined using NCTA Seeding Criteria after the waterfall is done. The format is FIC (Feed-In Consolation through QF). All matches will play a 10-point match tiebreaker instead of a full 3rd set. There will be a playoff for 3rd and 4thplace. Consolation finals will NOT be played out. Both players who reach the finals of consolation will receive the same number of ranking points.
