Due to the size of the draws, for those considering two events at this tournament: YOU COULD POTENTIALLY PLAY A TOTAL OF FOUR (4) MATCHES ON SATURDAY AND/OR SUNDAY.

Food Arrangements for Registered Players
* Friday: There will be a
player party on Friday night for registered players. There will be light
snacks and beer/wine served by Tribeca Tavern. Each registered
player will receive 2 drink tickets to redeem for beer/wine on Friday
evening.
* Saturday: There will be
a continental breakfast and light lunch served, along with light snacks
throughout the day. There will be water at the park, but please make
arrangements for any additional food/beverages that you may need.

Schedule of Play
Friday matches will begin after 5pm. Saturday and Sunday matches will begin as early as 8am.

Friday Night Raleigh Pro League Match
Please join us Friday evening for tournament play, our
player party, and an opportunity to watch the Pro League of greater Raleigh
play some high caliber tennis. The Raleigh Pro League is the most
exciting and entertaining team tennis around, where top players in the greater
Raleigh area compete for prize money and season championships. These will be
feature matches to watch at this year's Summer Sizzle!

Limited Events
A player may only enter the combination of the events below: 1. Singles & Doubles 2. Doubles & Mixed You cannot play Singles and Mixed. You cannot play multiple levels of the same event. (i.e. 7.0 Mixed & 8.0 Mixed)

USTA League Play Match Conflict Flexibility: Youcan still Register for the Tournament!
Any Mixed of Tri-Level matches scheduled for the weekend of Summer Sizzle (July 21-23) may treat ONE COURT as a rain out. Any requests to play a court as a rain out must be communicated to the other captain at least 5 days prior to the original match date.

Tournament Director Selection Process
Draws are limited to 32 participants. The top players applying from the USTA/NC most current standings list will be selected into the draw. The names of the players who have been selected will appear as "Competitors." If you are not selected, you will be on the alternate list. Please contact the Tournament Director if you wish to be removed from the alternate list.

Format and Scoring
The format is MFIC (Modified Feed In Consolation). All matches will play best 2 out of 3 sets with a 10 point match tiebreaker played in lieu of the 3rd set. A Coman Tiebreak will be played. No ad scoring. In the event of inclement weather, the tournament committee reserves the right to change the scoring to an abbreviated system.

Combo Mixed Double Eligibility
Mixed Combo of 5.0-9.0 doubles with the players' combined rating not exceeding the Combined NTRP level and with no more than one (1) point difference in the players' NTRP ratings.

Seeding
This tournament's seeding will be done in accordance with USTA Regulations. They will be compiled and examined by the Head Referee, Tournament Director, and members of the Tennis Committee.

NTRP Self Rating
All players need to have an NTRP rating prior to playing this tournament. If you do not have a rating, you can self-rate yourself by: 1. Go to www.nctennis.com 2. Click on TennisLink under Quick Hits on the right side of the page 3. Log in to your USTA account or CREATE an account (right side of the page in RED), if you do not currently have one. Player will need their USTA #. 4. Click on "Self Rate" under the "Find NTRP Rating Info" search box. 5. Follow the instruction and answer the questions provided.
If your minimum rating allowed is higher than you anticipated, make sure to click on the link to file a self-rate appeal.

Withdrawals Before Deadline
If you need to withdraw before the entries close, you must do so online. Click on "Edit Registration," then "Withdraw." You will need your original confirmation number. All withdrawals after entries close must be sent in writing by email to Shannon.Benic@townofcary.org.

Withdrawals After the Deadline
After the registration deadline, the only way to withdraw is via email to the tournament director (Shannon.Benic@townofcary.org). Phone withdrawals and withdrawals at the tournament desk will not be accepted. The email provides a written copy of the request.

Refund Policy
No refunds are required after the online registration deadline closes. This is NC Tennis Policy.

Player's Responsibility
It is the PLAYER'S responsibility to know their next match time and show up in a timely manner. Check the website often for updated match times. PLAYERS MUST CHECK IN FOR EACH MATCH 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO SCHEDULED START TIME. USTA RULES WILL BE ENFORCED FOR LATENESS.

NCTA Rain Policy
NCTA Rain Policy for all sanctioned tournaments 1. Any division where play has begun – no refund 2. Any division where no play has begun – a partial refund after deductions for actual expenses. 3. All completed scores must be reported. Incomplete matches are recorded as ABANDONED( match started but Referee decided not to complete) matches. Matches never started are recorded as UNPLAYED 4. It is at the discretion of the tournament committee if the entire tournament is canceled due to inclement weather. 5. Check the alternate scoring methods for inclement weather.

2727 Louis Stephens Drive From northwest of Cary to Cary Tennis Park: From Interstate 40 East, take exit #278 on the right. Go 0.2 miles. Turn right onto NC -55 South. Go 6.5 miles. Turn left onto Morrisville Carpenter Road. Go 0.1 miles. Turn right onto Carpenter-Upchurch Road. Go 1.5 miles. Turn left onto Louis Stevens Drive. Go 0.8 miles. Turn left into Cary Tennis Park.
From south of Cary to Cary Tennis Park: On NC 55, cross US 1 at Apex and continue on NC 55. Go 6 miles. Turn right onto High House Road. Turn left onto Carpenter Upchurch Rd, Turn right onto Louis Stephens Dr. Turn left into Cary Tennis Park (2727 Louis Stephens Dr.).
From southeast of Raleigh to Cary Tennis Park: From Interstate 40 West coming into Raleigh, pass exit #301 and bear left onto I-40 West/I-440/Inner Beltline. Go 8 miles. Take exit #293A onto US 64 West / US 1 South (not north) Go 2 miles. Take the exit on the right onto Cary Parkway. Go 5 miles. Turn left onto High House Road. Turn right onto Davis Dr. Turn left onto Preston Village Way. Turn left onto Circle on the Green Dr. Turn left onto Upchurch Meadow Rd. Turn Right onto Louis Stephens Dr. Turn left into Cary Tennis Park (2727 Louis Stephens Dr.).
From northeast of Raleigh to Cary Tennis Park: After reaching I-440 South/Inner Beltline, continue south on this Interstate past exit #16 toward Durham. Continue with the set of directions above labeled "From southeast of Raleigh", starting at step 1. (Exit #16 is in the same area as exit #301 in those directions).

Parking on Louis Stephens Road
Important Note: PARKING on Louis Stephens Drive is prohibited. Violating vehicles may be cited and/or towed. Overflow parking is available at the Green Hope Elementary School Parking Lot directly across the street (Louis Stephens) from the Cary Tennis Park, plus there is an additional parking area at the North End of the tennis facility which is specifically designated as an overflow parking lot for the Cary Tennis Park.

New Wilson US Open Extra Duty tennis balls will be used for this tournament.

Water/Ice/Restrooms
Cary Tennis Center - Water coolers are not available on individual courts. Please bring your own water containers with you to play. Both, water and ice are available at the courtyard level adjacent to the locker rooms. Ladies and Gentlemen Restrooms are located at the courtyard level, and at two comfort stations on the West and North sides.
