TOURNAMENT DATES
This tournament runs from Thursday February 2nd through Sunday February 5th. Play could start as early as 9 AM Thursday. If you are unavailable any of these days, please let the tournament director know as soon as possible by emailing her at hartwainwright@gmail.com . Players please be advised the tournament committee will try to accommodate special requests, but cannot guarantee as we have limited courts.

SELECTION OF PLAYERS
Please register to play. If a division in this tournament does not have sufficient entries, your credit card will not be charged. Also, if your division does not have enough entries, please let the director know if you would like to play another division.

COURT SURFACE
All matches will be played on indoor hard courts.

PLAYER'S RESPONSIBILITY
It is the PLAYER'S responsibility to know their next match time and show up in a timely manner. Check website often for updated match times. PLAYERS MUST CHECK IN FOR EACH MATCH 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO ITS SCHEDULED START TIME. ALL USTA RULES WILL BE ENFORCED FOR LATENESS.

LIMITED EVENTS
A player may enter a maximum of 2 events. This may be any combination of singles or gender doubles, but only 1 mixed entry per person.

FORMAT AND SCORING
Singles matches are single elimination. All main draw matches will play best 2 out of 3 sets, with a 10 point match tiebreaker for the 3rd set.Doubles matches are FMLC (First Match Loser Consolation). All main draw matches will play best 2 out of 3 sets, with a 10 point match tiebreaker for the 3rd set. All consolation matches will be an 8-game pro sets.

LIMITED DRAWS
Divisions will be limited to 32.

SELECTION PROCESS
The top players applying from the USTA/NC most current standings list will be selected into the draw. Selections will be posted no later than 3 days after the deadline . The names of players who have been selected will appear as “Competitors.” If you are not selected, you will be on the alternate list. Please contact the TD if you wish to be removed from the alternate list.

TOURNAMENT SEEDING
This tournament's seeding will be done in accordance with USTA Regulations. They will be compiled and examined by the Head Referee, Tournament Director, and members of the Tournament Committee. Factors to consider in seeding (taken from "Friend at Court"): Seedings merely represent the Committee's subjective ratings of the various players' chances of winning the tournament. These ratings may not be based on whim, caprice, or hunches, but instead shall be justified by a reasonable amount of factual evidence, including, but not limited to, rankings, current records, types of surface, and particularly head to head encounters. Two outstanding doubles players playing together for the first time should be considered for a place on the seeded list.

TOURNAMENT WITHDRAWLS
If you need to withdraw before entries close, you must do so online. Click on "Edit Registration," then "Withdraw." You will need your original confirmation number. All withdrawals after entries close must be sent BOTH in writing by email (to the Tournament Director's address above) and by phone to the tournament site. Players withdrawing after the tournament deadline/selection will not be refunded the entry fee.

DRAWS
A strong effort will be made by the committee to accommodate all schedule requests. With that said, a few requests may not be able to be met. All players are required to play at the times posted. If you cannot please let the tournament director know as soon as possible once the draws are posted. The draws will be posted by noon Tuesday January 31st.

PLAYER AMENITIES
All tournament players will receive a t-shirt at registration. A player dinner will be provided on Friday evening from 6-8 at the main site. Guest fee will be $10.00. Local beer will be available throughout the tournament along with bananas and bagels each morning for players. Tournament players will also have access to our gym for the duration of the tournament.

Directions to club: Arriving 40 E-take exit 50, turn right at
the stop light, go 3.5 miles to Applebee's Restaurant and turn
right onto Racquet Club Rd. This road will lead you to the club
parking lot. Arriving 40 W-take exit 50 A, merge onto Hwy. 25 S, go
3.5 miles to Applebee's and turn right onto Racquet Club Rd. This
road will lead you to the club parking lot. Arriving 26 W-take exit
37 to Skyland, turn right onto Long Shoals Rd., go to the 5th stop
light and turn left onto Hwy. 25 N, go 1.5 miles to Applebee's
Restaurant and turn left onto Racquet Club Rd. This road will lead
into club parking lot.
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
