FUTURES LEVEL 8 TOURNAMENTS
In Futures Level 8 tournaments kids will experience a fun,
friendly, non-elimination introduction to tournament tennis that's
played start to finish in 4 hours or less. Juniors are welcome and
encouraged to continue to participate in Futures Level 8
tournaments until they are winning consecutive matches and winning
Futures Level 8 tournaments. (Once a player wins 3 Futures Level 8
tournaments in an age division, or earns a MAS ranking of 90 or
better, they are graduated up to Level 7 and above tournaments).
Every kid that participates in a Futures Level 8 tournament earns
50 participation points! These points count toward their MAS
standing / ranking and even if they don't win any matches they get
the 50 points.
Match Formats: Short formats are used to enable players to
participate against numerous opponents- i.e. Short-Sets, One Super
Set, Timed Matches, and No-Add Scoring. Longer Formats may be used
for very small draws.
Player Selection TypePlayers are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry TypeEntry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Wednesday, October 19, 2016 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
