Tournament Information
Welcome to the Subway Junior Challenger hosted by the Country Club of South Carolina. Our goal is to make this tournament the best experience possible by providing high quality service and amenities to our players and visitors. These include a custom tennis towels at sign-in, lunch provided by SUBWAY, premium trophies, free gatorade, snacks, fruits, and many more. There will be other fun activities set up for the players who are waiting to play such as soccer goals, mini tennis, Xbox tennis game, etc... We'll try to make this an overall fun weekend for the kids and spectators. Lunch will be served at 1:00pm on Saturday.
Sites Please check-in at the site where you are playing at least 30 minutes before match time. Please check the correct site and match time on the draws. Warm-up courts are available until 8:45am. The addresses of the sites are:

First Match Times Matches will start on Saturday morning at 9:00am. Times and Draws will be posted by 11:00pm on Wednesday, April 6.
Draw & Scoring Formats Divisions with 5 or fewer players will use Round Robin formats. 6 or more will use First Match Loser Consolation. Scoring format will be the following:
12's Divisions The 12's age division will offer two separate draws: one regular YELLOW ball and one lower compression GREEN dot ball. Challenger Level refers to the GREEN dot division.Please make sure you sign up for the desired division.
12's - 18's Scoring Ten point tie breakers will be used in lieu of the third set in ALL singles matches. All DOUBLES matches will use 8 game pro sets with a 7 point tie break at 8 games each. Alternate scoring and courts may be used in case of rain. The Referee has the right to use alternate scoring and additional surfaces at the Referee's discretion.
10's Scoring The tournament offers all 3 levels of 10 and under divisions: Orange 2, Orange 1, and Green. In Orange 1 and 2, players will use orange low compression balls on a 60' court. Racquets may be no larger than 25". In Green, players will use green low compression balls on a full size 78' court. The scoring format for ALL SINGLES 10 and under divisions will be: Best of three short sets to 4 games, must win by 2 (7 point set tiebreak at 4-4) with a 7 point tiebreak in lieu of the 3rd set (must win by 2). Doubles will use one set to 6 games scoring with a 7-point tie-breaker at 6-6. No-ad scoring for both singles and doubles.
Awards Trophies will be awarded to the winners and finalists of each singles main draws with 4 or more players. Award Certificates will be given to the winners and finalists of singles main draws with 3 or fewer players, doubles, and consolation draws.
