Departure Time For Monday
We have received a few phone calls about when we will finish on Monday. It is close to impossible to predict simply because we have no idea who will be in the finals, which teams will have 8:00 AM starts and which teams will start in the second time slot. We should finish earlier than the first 4 days because Monday will be all singles and no doubles. I would start with 3:30 PM as the earliest possible time and work from there. But no definites for sure. I cannot schedule pairings until we finish today, although I may be able to start once we get close to finishing this afternoon. Rest assured, I will move as quickly as results will allow.

Closing Ceremonies and How The Monday Schedule Will Work.
There will be THREE 8:00 AM matches Monday morning. One of them will be the Championship Match. The second wave of matches will start around 11:30 - 12:00. Everything but the championship match will be singles only. We would like for the teams from the second wave to arrive at 11:00 AM and gather under the covered area adjacent to court #1. This is where we will meet and award the player medals and awards. After the awards, teams will disperse to their courts and play their final round. We will get the match schedule posted as soon possible so parents can plan their departure.

Method of Play
For those new to Zonals competition here are a few bits of info that may help you get comfortable with how this is run. Zonals is a team competition. Each team consists of 6 boys and 6 girls. Every player will play one singles match (two out of three sets) each day. They will also play either one doubles match or one mixed match. All doubles will be an eight game pro set. There will be a total of 12 teams from 4 different sections competing. The 12 teams will be divided into 2 groups of 6. The teams will play 4 of the 6 six teams in their group, each trying to reach the finals on Monday. Every team will continue to play matches all the way through Monday. Players are awarded national points for wins in singles and doubles so every match is important even if their team is out of the running. We will alternate start times each day between the two groups. One day they will begin at 8:00 AM and then the next will be 12:30 PM.
