Notes
IMPORTANT!
Due to a new policy from the USTA's legal department, tournament
directors will no longer have access to phone numbers and email
addresses of the tournament participants unless the player
re-enters their contact information at time of event registration.
This means that if a player does not enter their phone and email
information each time they register for a tournament, the
tournament director cannot contact them for any reason, including
withdrawals, defaults, byes, rain delays, etc. Your cooperation
will ensure that tournaments can continue to communicate necessary
information to you. Thank you.

Policy, Reffkin Tennis Center Video Policy, Smart
Watches:
DRESS CODE: All players are required to wear appropriate tennis
attire. Cut off shorts, bare midriffs, compression shorts &
tights (alone), or any other attire that is simply recreational and
is not tennis oriented is not acceptable. Players can wear tights
but they must wear shorts or a skirt over the tights.

they will be cautioned that after another overrule, they will be
penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct under the Point Penalty

obtain permission from the parent(s) of the other child prior to

to you videotaping their child, all videotaping must cease
immediately. This includes cell phones if they can be construed as
videotaping.

phones must be turned off. The only exception is between a 2nd set

32. Tournament Ball
Boys' 16s&18s Wilson US Open -
Extra Duty
Girls' 16s&18s Wilson US Open - Regular Duty
USTA National now notified me (the week of the tournament) that the
Girls only will be using Wilson Regular Duty balls (not extra
duty). Since I was not informed of this by USTA ahead of time, I
will not have time to order any Wilson Regular Duty balls to sell
in the pro shop, I will only have Wilson Extra Duty. If you want to
buy regular duty balls they sell them at La Paloma Country Club
(but they are Penn brand not Wilson)
Please see USTA's statement below about the use of regular duty
balls for Girls:
"To help American junior girls better assimilate to the conditions
of professional tennis, USTA Junior Competition, with the support
of USTA Player Development, has decided to use Wilson Regular Duty
balls for all Girls' National Level 1 & 2 tournaments on an
experimental basis going forward. This is to assure that junior
girls are using the same felt balls that are being used at USTA Pro
Circuit and WTA events. We will closely monitor all/any feedback
from consumers and stakeholders."
