Tournament held on indoor hard courts at Reis Tennis Center,
home of the Cornell Men's and Women's tennis teams.
Match Formats:
Singles matches are best of three sets and a 10 point
match tie-break will be played for the third set. There is a 2
minute on court break if players split sets and coaching is not
allowed. Doubles matches are 8 game pro-sets with an end of set
tie-break played at 8-8.
Practice Courts:
If you wish to reserve indoor courts on Friday, November 11th
morning or early afternoon, please call the Reis Tennis Center
front desk at 607-254-8922.
Tournament participants will be charged the junior member rate of
$24/hour or $12/half hour for indoor courts. The outdoor courts
will be available on a walk on basis free of charge for tournament
participants. Due to the number of matches which needed to be
scheduled no indoor practice courts will be available on Saturday
or Sunday.
All doubles pairings will need to be set by 1 PM on Saturday,
November 5th. If your partner is not indicated in the applicant
list please email the information to abf11@cornell.edu. Players who
haven't confirmed their partners by Saturday at 1 PM will not be
included in the draws.
The earliest matches on Friday will be scheduled at 4 PM.
Please note that due to the large number of players in the
tournament we will not be able to offer players who lose their
first singles match an optional consolation round. If you wish to
withdraw and be refunded you can do so online until 1 PM on Friday,
November 4th.
If you wish to play doubles but don't have a partner please email
the tournament director in advance and we'll do our best to match
you with a partner.
Code Of Conduct: By registering for this tournament you agree to abide by the Rules & Regulations set forth in the USTA Friend at Court, the USTA Standards of Conduct, as well as the USTA Eastern Section's Rules & Regulations. The rules apply to parents & spectators as well; the player is responsible for their entourage. Poor behavior by the spectators may result in point penalties for the players. Poor personal behavior, bad sportsmanship or any acts detrimental to the game could prevent section endorsement. Registration and Withdrawals Withdrawals can be done online before registration closes. Select "Withdraw" under the blue Edit Registration Menu on the lower left of this tournament homepage. Refunds will not be given after the close of registration.
