SOCIAL MEDIA CONTEST:
Social media contest will be going on before and during the
tournament until the end of Saturday. Players need to take a photo
or video and upload it either on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram
(Brownie points if they upload it on all three!) and must have the
hashtag #AmeliaClassic and tag Cliff Drysdale Tennis on it. In
order to participate, you must have the hashtag #AmeliaClassic AND
tag Cliff Drysdale Tennis.

The photo can be anything from a selfie, all the way to a
training video getting ready for the tournament! BE CREATIVE. The
winner will be announced Sunday morning receiving a prize pack
including a Head backpack, bag of grips, 2 sets of strings, and a
FREE STRINGING job! Parents can participate as well! Good
luck!
WARM UP COURTS WILL BE AVAILABLE ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS
FROM 7AM SATURDAY. COURTS AVAILABLE WILL BE
5,6,7,8,13,14,17,18,19,20.
PLEASE DO NOT COME PRIOR TO 7 AM OR YOU WILL BE ASKED TO GET OFF
THE COURT. MAINTENANCE TEAM WILL BE WORKING HARD TO GET THE COURTS
READY AT THAT TIME.

LOCATION
The tournament is held at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation courts,
this is also called the Villas of Amelia Island, they are the same
location.
Medical Release Form
All players MUST turn in a medical waiver prior to their first
match signed by a parent or legal guardian in order to play in this
event. Please print off and complete the USTA Medical Release Form
prior to arrival. We will have some at the player party as
well.
Player Check In
We will have an early check in and player party on Friday September
22nd from 5-7pm . This check in is encouraged but not mandatory.
Please bring your Medical Release Form when you check in. If you
opt not to do the early check in please arrive 30 minutes prior to
your first match time to complete the check in process.
PING PONG TOURNAMENT: September 22nd at 5:30 Pm in Player party

Match Balls - Wilson US Open Regular Duty will be used, these
are available for sale in the pro shop prior to the
tournament.

On-site stringing available, the pro shop sells Wilson and Luxilon
strings.

Entrance to tournament site and player parking is located at the
Verandah Restaurant at Racquet Park off of First Coast Highway at
the southern end of Amelia Island. This is signposted and is NOT
the main hotel entrance.
Local Restaurants_ - There are 9 restaurants available on
property including a general store for all supplies. The town of
Fernandina Beach is a 15 minute drive from the tournament
location.
On Site Alternates
If you want to be an onsite alternate please check in at least 15
minutes before the first match starts. If a spot becomes available
players will be selected using the original alternate list not by
the order in which players check in.
DRAW FORMAT
- The singles draw shall have 32 players; the doubles draw shall
have 16 teams.
- The singles draw have a Feed-In Consolation (FIC) that feeds
players in through the Round of 16. The FIC shall be played to
completion. The FIC shall be considered part of the tournament and
participation is mandatory for all singles players.
- The main draw singles draw shall have a playoff for 3rd,4th,5th,
& 6th. NO 7th & 8th.
Match Format
All main draw singles matches will be the best of 3 Tie Break
Sets.
All consolation singles will be the best of 3 Tiebreak Sets with a
10-Point Match Tiebreak in lieu of a 3rd set.
All doubles matches will be a 8 Game Pro, NO Ad scoring Set with a
7-Point Tiebreak at 8 games all.
Doubles shall have a playoff for 3rd and 4th place. All players are
required to play the third and fourth place playoff.
Player Selection TypePlayers are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry TypeEntry to this tournament is restricted. To see how entrants will be selected, follow the “Selection Process” link to the left. It is the player’s responsibility to check the selection list(s) after registering online to be sure that a check mark appears beside the player’s name on the list, in order to insure proper registration. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, August 31, 2017 11:59:00 AM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
