SCTA Code of Conduct for Parents, Coaches, and Spectators
By entering this tournament, you agree to follow the SCTA Code of
Conduct for Parents, Coaches, and Spectators.
LEVEL 6 TOURNAMENT (SATELLITE)
This type of tournament is for players who are getting started in
regular junior tournament competition. SCTA Level 6 junior
tournaments are counted towards junior open rankings. These rules
do not apply to the 10s & 8s divisions.
Listed below are the eligibility requirements for Level 6
tournaments.
1. A player ranked in the top 100 (18s-12s only) on the standings
list at the entry deadline is not eligible for Level 6 play in that
age division. They may choose to play in a Level 6 tournament in an
older age division provided they are not ranked in the top 100 of
that division.
2. All Level 6 tournament winners will be invited to participate in
the 2016 Satellite Masters. Please note that in order to have the
tournament count as a "win", the player must have won three or more
matches (not including byes or defaults, unless the default is in
the finals) to win
the tournament.
ONE WEEKEND EVENT (UNLESS RAIN)
THIS EVENT WILL BE PLAYED OVER ONE WEEKEND STARTING AFTER 4:30 PM
ON FRIDAY. (UNLESS RAIN, THEN WE WILL USE A FUTURE DATE TBD)
MATCH FORMAT
(LEVEL 6)
ALL MATCHES WILL BE A "BEST OF TWO SETS" A 10 POINT TIE BREAKER
WILL BE PLAYED IN LIEU OF A THIRD SET.
(LEVEL 7)
ALL MATCHES WILL BE ROUND ROBIN FORMAT
10 & Under Divisions (LEVEL 6 ONLY)
10 & Under matches will be played with the "Green" Ball (or
Green Dot Ball) on a standard sized 78' court. There is no racquet
restriction with this ball.
2016 SCTA POINTS PER ROUND RANKING
For Southern California open ranking purposes, this tournament is a
SCTA Level 6 event. For 2016 tournaments, Level 6 points will be
awarded based on draw size for each individual event.
SCTA POINT PENALTY SUSPENSION SYSTEM
The SCTA has adopted a point penalty suspension system. Please

BALLS
THIS TOURNAMENT WILL USE PRO PENN MARATHON BALLS, PENN CONTROL+
BALLS, PENN ORANGE BALLS, AND PENN RED FELT BALLS.
Dress Code
The Serve It Up Tennis Tournament and all officials of this event
would like to inform the players of our expectations of proper
attire while competing in this tournament.
GIRLS: No sports bras or compression shorts are to be worn
alone; midriff must be covered when arms are at rest, and spandex
shorts must be covered by additional shorts or skirt.
BOYS: No cut off t-shirts, or cut off shorts. Sleeveless
tennis shirts may be worn. No reference to drugs, violence,
alcohol, or foul language may be depicted on player
attire.
Player Selection TypeNo Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry TypeEntry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Monday, May 16, 2016 11:59:00 PM Pacific Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
