The doubles draws and schedule are posted. Please be sure to check time and LOCATION!!!!
We are using Cary Tennis Park, Holly Springs Tennis Center (Ting Park), Middle Creek School Park, and Godbold Park for doubles.

As of Friday at 9:00 am national hurricane center has the path of the hurricane going through the very western part of NC and into Tennessee. Saturday and Sunday are clear, with possible wind/rain on Monday afternoon. Based on the information we have now the tournament is on as scheduled. We have linked to the national hurricane center below and we will update as conditions change.

Players can go directly to their match site on Saturday morning. They do NOT need to check-in at the Cary Tennis Park first. The schedule is completed through Sunday. We hope to have all play completed by 2 pm Monday, if there is no weather.

Doubles draws and schedules will be out by noon on Friday. Doubles play will start after singles play on Saturday.

This event will use college scoring formats.
BG12s Singles Division: 2 tie-break sets with a match tie break at one set all using no ad scoring.
BG14s-18s Singles Division: Main Draw- 2 out of 3 sets using no ad scoring. Consolation- 2 tie-break sets with a match tie break at one set all using no ad scoring.
Doubles Divisions- One set to 6, with a tiebreak at 6-all using no ad scoring

This event will be running concurrently with a USTA Men's Challenger event, The Atlantic Tire Championships (ATC). The 2016 Atlantic Tire Championships Featured 14 professionals that competed in the US Open Tennis Championships including young rising stars such as Francis Tiafoe, Tommy Paul, Michael Mmoh and Ernesto Escobedo.
Facility Access and Player Buffet
Cary Tennis Championships participants and family members over the age of 12, will receive facility passes at the ticket gate. The passes will be available beginning Friday afternoon at 4 pm. The passes will be needed to enter the facility and attend the Saturday evening player buffet, which will begin at 5:30 pm. Players are also invited to the ATC Saturday evening featured qualifying match.
Tournament Check-In
Players may check in for the tournament, beginning Saturday morning at 7:30 am, in the Cary Tennis Park covered court facility (don’t forget your event pass to access the facility). Players DO NOT have to check in at the Cary Tennis Park before their first match, you may go directly to your match site. Check in will run throughout the weekend.

Any onsite alternates must report to the locations listed below by 8:15 am on Saturday and check in with the tournament desk.. Onsite alternates will be ordered by the order on alternate’s list. You must be within 15 minutes of the site if called.

All contact with the tournament director must be done through email. Please email all questions/withdraws/concerns for the tournament director to sean.ferreira@townofcary.org. Please do not leave a voicemail!!!

The link below list all the addresses of public courts in the area. Keep in mind that these courts are first come first serve and may be hosting league matches.
Warm-up courts at tournament sites will be available before play begins, but will not have warm-up courts once play starts.
*Please do not trespass on private courts or break into locked courts!!!

The September 1st National Seeding List was used for seeding this tournament.

Doubles pairings will be updated by Thursday, August 17th,, at 9 pm. If you or your partner is not in singles, but you still want to play doubles we will wait until after the doubles deadline of Friday, August 25th, to accept your entry to ensure all selected singles players have a chance to register for doubles.

Below is the tentative plan for Singles Sites on Saturday, September 9th. Please keep in mind this could change, especially if there is weather.
Saturday, August 9th
Boys/Girls 12s - Middle Creek School Park (MCP) and Holly Springs Tennis Complex (HSTC)
Boys/Girls 14s - Millbrook Exchange Tennis Center (MBX)
Boys/Girls 16/18s - Cary Tennis Park (CTP) and Godbold Park (GB)

Selections have been made for this event. If you received an email that you were selected but not charged, we will contact you for payment. You do not need to call or email.
If you registered for two age groups and were selected in a younger age group, you will be taken off the alternate list in the older age group.
Ordered alternates list will be up by 5 pm Monday, August 14th and updated as needed.
Please email the director if you want your child off the alternates list.

If you were not selected for singles, then we did not select you for doubles. If you would still like to play doubles please email the tournament director the division and partner. If there is room in the doubles draw after the doubles deadline on Friday, August 25th, we will enter you and your partner.
The doubles only fee is $25 and will be charged if selected.

Alternates were ordered by the August 9th National Standing for those who registered by the registration deadline. Then those without a national standing were ordered next by lot. Those who asked to be put on the alternate list after the registration deadline are added to the bottom of the alternate list based on when they contacted the director.


Alternate Order list will be updated when/if changes are made to it.

SINGLES: 32 Player Draw; Feed in consolation through the round of 16. Quarter Final losers will be fed into a separate consolation draw. 3/4 Play-off
DOUBLES:16 Teams; Single elimination.

The tournament will not give out player contact information or match up doubles partners.


We have created a doubles Facebook page if you need to find a partner. Please click the attached link. Once you have found a partner please email the tournament director once you have found a partner with the division and USTA numbers of both players.

We will take doubles entries by email through Friday, August 25th.

REMINDER: You have to play doubles in the same age group you are playing singles!

USTA requires a medical release SIGNED BY THE PARENT OR GUARDIAN for every player. This form must be presented at the time of the tournament registration. Players are not allowed on the court without this release. more info
