Scoring
The scoring will be best 2-of-3 tie-break sets
in all events EXCEPT B10s and G10s will play best of 3 short sets, first
to 4 games, if the score reaches 3-3, then the players will play a 7
point tiebreak to determine the winner of that set, no-ad, with a
7-point tie-breaker in lieu
of the 3rd set. All doubles will play 8-game pro sets with a 10 point
tie-breaker at 8-8. When applicable, a round robin will be scored first
by head-to-head win % and then by set win %.

The tournament will be limited to 16 draws. The first 16 in each
division to apply will be accepted. New this year will be a 12's
Open Green Dot Ball Division that is open to any 12's player who is
seeking more green dot ball match play - 10's division eligible
players may not play up into this division. 12's Challenger
Divisions will be played with green dot balls. 10's Open Orange
Divisions will be played on 60' courts with orange low compression
balls. 10's Green open Divisions will be played on 78' (full size)
courts with green dot low compression balls. 10's matches will be
best of 3 short sets - if the score reaches 3-3, a 7 Point Tiebreak
will be played to determine the winner of the set, no-ad scoring,
with a 7 Point Tiebreak played in lieu of the 3rd set. WAYS TO
QUALIFY FOR 10'S OPEN GREEN DOT BALL DIVISION - A player may choose
to play green dot 10's in the month that they turn 10 1/2. A player
who WINS 2 open orange events AND competes in at least 4 open
orange events in Utah, will qualify for Open Green. A player who
WINS one District Cup event in Utah and competes in at least 4 open
orange events in Utah will qualify for open green. Challenger and
Futures events do not count toward advancement into open green
divisions. For only the two District Cup events, ANY 10's player
may choose to compete in the Open Green Division. No player is at
any time required to play green, a player may continue to play in
the orange 10's until the month that they turn 11.
No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, February 28, 2016 11:59:00 PM Mountain Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
