Junior Challenger and Open @ St Mary's College

Draw Sizes:
The Tournament Director reserves the right to restrict draw sizes
as needed for a successful event. We also may expand the draw size
in any division.
The max draw size for the Challenger Events will be 8 players. The
max draw size for the Open Events will be 16 players. Girls 14 Open
and Boys 12s Open will be limited to 8 entries!
Match Times:
NOTE: Play will start at 7am on both days - due to great
interest in the event!
Please check and double check your match times as this is your
responsibility.
Weather Updates:
Currently, weather forecasts call for clear skies and fairly warm
temperatures. If the weather changes or you are unsure if the times
for matches will be delayed, that information will be posted here.
Withdrawing from the tournament:
If you are withdrawing before the tournament has closed it's
registration you will receive a full refund. E-mail the tournament
director immediately if you need to withdraw
(jensenredondo@gmail.com). If you withdraw after the close of
entries (Sunday midnight) we will be process a refund, as our
operating costs for the event remain the same.
Free Parking:
When entering the college you will see a guard gate shack in front
of you. Make a right at the "T" in the road and then go right again
after the Recreation Center. Parking for the Timothy Korth Tennis
Complex is just past the Recreation Center on the right hand
side.
Player Check-In:
Players need to check in 15 minutes prior to their 1st match for
the tournament and should double check with the tournament desk
staff for their following matches. We have a full schedule and we
cannot wait for late players.
Practice Courts:
Practice courts will likely not be available at the tournament
site. We recommend going to Miramonte High School in Orinda or
Campolindo High School in Moraga to find a warm-up
court.
Player Amenities:
Snacks, gatorade and water will be sold on site. If you wish to
purchase something more substantial we recommend you go to the
Moraga Safeway where you'll also find Bianca's deli.
Parent Coaching:
There is no parent coaching allowed during the course of any match,
unless it is during the break after splitting sets. Players can be
penalized for parent coaching at any other times - so do not
interact with them while they are on court.

Penn Championship Extra Duty
Dress Code:
Appropriate tennis attire is to be worn at all times including
non-marking tennis shoes.
Draw Format:
Singles is FMLC, First Match Losers Consolation. Every player is
guaranteed two singles matches. Doubles is single elimination. Open
events are single elimination. There is a playoff for 3rd place in
ALL SINGLES events.
College Tennis:
Proceeds from the event go to support Mens and Women's Tennis at St
Mary's College - so by playing this event you are also supporting
college tennis - we thank you for this!
