JUNIOR TOURNAMENT WILL RUN TUESDAY THRU FRIDAY
In order to encourage the most number of players in the section to play the junior events, they will begin on Tuesday, August 2 with finals on Friday, August 5. Most draws will play 2 matches per day. Matches may be scheduled indoors or outdoors, so come prepared for all conditions. If you have a conflict with a specific time of day on 1 day, please send an email to llambert@utahtennis.com . I will do my best to work around your conflict. If I cannot work around your conflict, I will let you know before the draws post. Once draws post, there will be no rescheduling of matches.

NEW JUNIOR TEAM EVENT TO TAKE PLACE MONDAY, AUGUST 1 ! - ENTRIES OPEN AFTER ON-LINE DEADLINE - OPEN UNTIL WEDNESDAY AT NOON
This year, the OF LOVE tournament will be offering a SUPER FUN social team event for teenage players. Play in this event will start and finish on Monday, AUGUST 1. Teams will consist of at least 2 boys and 2 girls, with more players per team if so desired. Players must be age 13 or older to compete. Each team will be guaranteed 3 matches. Each match will consist of 1 girls singles, 1 boys singles, 1 girls doubles, 1 boys doubles, and 2 mixed-doubles. Each round of matches will play an 8 game pro-set. This event will play like World Team Tennis, with substitutions possible within each match. Cost to enter your team is $100. Please send Laurie Lambert an email if you would like to enter this event. llambert@utahtennis.com. In order to comply with high school tennis regulations, each team must not have all of its players from 1 high school. Also, each team may not all be from the same club. Team names may not be named after a High School. Space is limited to the first 12 teams to enter.

Family Event Back by Popular Demand! - ENTRIES OPEN AFTER ONLINE DEADLINE - UNTIL SOLD OUT
On Friday, August 5, from 4:00 - 6:00pm, we will be running a Parent-Child Family round robin event. Any combination of Parent-Child (mother-daughter, mother-son, father-daughter, father-son, grandparent-grandchild etc, etc.) can enter this fun event. You can also be brother-sister etc. We will group the players by ability and play several round robin matches during the 2 hour time period. Players do NOT need a USTA membership to participate in this event. The computer is being funky about people entering this online, so please send me an EMAIL with the names of the 2 people for the team. If you could include their age and general ability level, that would be great. I will call you to get a credit card, so please include a good phone number. Cost is $23/person for this event. You will NOT see your name online as an APPLICANT, but I will be communicating with everyone as we get closer with more information about your location of play. All matches will be from 4:00 - 6:00pm on Friday either at the Salt Lake Swim or Eccles Tennis Center.

AVOIDANCE REQUESTS
If you have 1 time that will not work for you to play, please send an email to Laurie Lambert at llambert@utahtennis.com by the tournament entry deadline. I will do my best to avoid that time for you. If I cannot avoid the time, I will let you know in advance. Once the draws post, match times are final. Players may NOT call an opponent to reschedule. Match reschedules may only occur thru approval of the Tournament Director and will only be honored for EXTREME unforeseen situations. Thank you for respecting the time of all players involved by not asking others to reschedule to accommodate you!

10s Co-Ed Doubles Draw
We are adding a draw for this division - it was a big hit last year! If playing in this division puts your child into 3 events, the computer will NOT let you automatically enter. Please send me an email that you would like to enter this 3rd event. This will be the only division where we will allow players to compete in 3 events due to the complications of scheduling. Thanks!

Adult Events Will begin at 5:00pm each night.
Adults may choose to enter up to 2 events. Play will begin at 5:00pm each night, with the final matches each night scheduled no later than 8:30pm. Finals for main draw will be Saturday morning. Play will be both indoors and outdoors, so come prepared for either court setting. If you have a conflict of time for 1 night, please let me know when you enter by sending me an email to llambert@utahtennis.com. Once draws post, no rescheduling of matches will be allowed.

Prize Money for Open Divisions
For the first time, we will be offering PRIZE MONEY for the Men's and Women's Open Divisions. Prize Money will be for the Winners of each division. $500 for Men's and Women's Singles based on a draw of 16 players. $400 per team for Winners of Men's & Women's Doubles based on a draw of 8 teams. $400 for the Winning Team of the Mixed Doubles - based on a Draw of 8 teams. Join the fun and compete for this money!

Buy tickets all week for the opportunity drawing - Winner receives a TRIP FOR TWO TO THE US OPEN! Players entered in the tournament receive a free ticket into the Exhibition. THIS TOURNAMENT IS A DISTRICT CUP SERIES TOURNAMENT. JUNIOR
PLAYERS WILL RECEIVE ELEVATED SECTION AND DISTRICT POINTS.
NEW THIS YEAR IS A 12'S OPEN GREEN DIVISION. THIS DIVISION MAY BE
PLAYED BY ANY 12'S DIVISION PLAYER WHO IS SEEKING MORE GREEN DOT
BALL EXPERIENCE. 10'S DIVISION PLAYERS MAY NOT PLAY UP INTO THIS
DIVISION. MATCHES WILL BE PLAYED ON 78' (FULL SIZE) COURTS WITH
GREEN LOW COMPRESSION BALLS.
ANY 10'S PLAYER MAY CHOOSE TO COMPETE IN THE OPEN GREEN DIVISION IN
THIS TOURNAMENT.
FORMAT FOR 10'S OPEN DIVISIONS: 10's Orange Open Divisions will be
played on 60' courts with orange low compression balls. 10's Green
Open Divisions will be played on 78' (full size) courts with green
low compression balls. 10's matches will be best of 3 short sets
(first to 4 games), if the score reaches 3-3 in games, a 7 point
tiebreak will be played to determine the winner of that set.
Matches will be no-ad scoring, with a 7 point tiebreak played in
lieu of the 3rd set.
WAYS TO QUALIFY FOR 10'S OPEN GREEN DIVISION: A Player may choose
to begin to play Open Green in the month that they turn 10 1/2. A
Player who WINS 2 Open Orange Events AND competes in at least 4
Open Orange Events in Utah will qualify for Open Green. A Player
who WINS 1 District Cup Event in Utah AND competes in at least 4
Open Orange events in Utah will qualify for Open Green. Challenger
and Futures Events do NOT count toward advancement into Open Green
play. For only the two District Cup Events, ANY 10's Player may
choose to compete in the Open Green Division. No player is at any
point required to play Open Green. Players may choose to continue
to play Open Orange until the month that they turn 11.
Due to the unpredictability of match outcomes, we are unable to
take match time avoidance requests beyond the first day of the
tournament. Avoidance requests must be made with the Tournament
Director prior to the draws being made. RESCHEDULING POLICY -
Finals may NOT be rescheduled! There will be NO RESCHEDULING of
matches except in extreme circumstances beyond the control of the
players and then only with prior approval of the Tournament
Director. Players rescheduling without permission will be
DEFAULTED! All costs of rescheduling are the responsibility of the
initiator. Players are under NO obligation to reschedule when asked
by an opponent.
No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, July 24, 2016 11:59:00 PM Mountain Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
