Scoring Format/Type of Ball
***8 and under*** Players will play best of 3 games. Games are the first to win 7 points (by 2 points) wins the game. First player to win 2 games will win the match. Play will be held on a 36 foot court using red Wilson low compression balls.
***10 and Under*** Play shall be the best of 2 short sets (first to 4 and win by 2), with a set tiebreak (first to seven (7) and win by two (2) at 4-4 in each set, and a set tiebreak (first to 7 and win by 2) for the third set. Regular scoring (Play ads) and use Penn orange low compression ball.
***12U-18U*** Players will play 2 out of 3 sets (regular scoring), with a match tiebreak in lieu of a 3rd.
***12U players*** Play will be on a full size (78 foot) court with Prince green low compression balls.
***14U-18U players*** Play will be on a full size (78 foot) court with Wilson yellow tennis balls.
***All Doubles*** All doubles matches will be an 8 games Pro Set (win by 2) regular scoring.
In singles, unless it is a round robin, we will be running a First Match Losers Consolation so players will get at least 2 matches.

Match Time/Prep
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of your 1st match to check-in. After that, please check-in at least 15 minutes to all future matches. We do have bathrooms and water fountains on site. There are water coolers on site at Park Crossing but not at Park Road Park so please make sure your child has their own water cooler

Draw Limits
The draw limit for this tournament is 32 in singles and 8 in doubles.

Schedule of Play
Play will begin as early as 5:00 pm on March 18th, 8:00 am on Saturday, March 19th & Sunday, March 20th. Please be prepared to play matches on all 3 days if necessary.

Medical Release Form
You need to make sure that you fill out a medical release form, please click the access and print. Bring it to the check-in prior to your first match. I will NOT have copies at the desk, so please print out and bring it with you.

3-MINUTE REST PERIOD
The 3 minute rest period is taken with a match tie break in lieu of the third set format. The 3 minute rest period begins at the end of the second set and should be timed by the official. Players must remain on court or in an area adjacent to the court where coaching is permitted. A toilet break/change of attire may be taken at the completion of the 2nd set.

Directions to Park Crossing Swim & Racquet (10201 Park
Crossing Drive, Charlotte, NC 28210 From 77 South Take I-485 Outer
Loop to exit 61B (HWY 51). Loop under the bridge and then turn left
at the second stoplight on Park Road Ext. Go 2 miles to the second
stoplight and turn left on Park Crossing Drive. At the first stop
sign turn right into the club parking lot.
Park Road Park (6220 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210) will also be
used. From Park Crossing Swim & Racquet you will turn left from
neighborhood on Park Road. Travel 4 miles and take the first right
immediately after crossing Archdale Drive. Courts are behind
parking lot.
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, March 13, 2016 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
