In order to help the tournament run more smoothly, all players should check in to the tournament desk 30min prior to each scheduled match. By doing so, we might be able to get you on early and shorten your day.

Construction Alert!!!
The Tennis Park is about to undergo a $5.2 million covered
court expansion project. Construction on the seven covered courts is set
to begin the week of June 6, 2016, and is expected to take eleven months to
complete. There will be some disruptions during construction (noise,
dust, etc.) however, tournaments, events and league play will all continue as
scheduled.
Please be patient with us and pardon our dust during
construction!

Spectator Accessibility
Please let us know before noon Friday if you will have any spectators who will have accessibility requests. Please email the tournament director at bill.reynolds@townofcary.org.

MODIFIED FEED IN CONSOLATION
We will be using a modified feed in consolation. This means player who lose in either the first or second round of the main draw will feed in to the back draw. Even if you win in the first round of the draw and then lose the second round, you will feed in to the consolation. This is different from a First Match Loser's Consolation.

L5 Eligibility Information
L5 Junior Tournaments are open to all players except those with the following standings:
Boys & Girls 18s 1-50 Boys & Girls 16s 1-80 Boys & Girls 14s 1-80 Boys & Girls 12s 1-80 Boys & Girls 10s 1-10
Standings used to determine eligibility for a futures event are the Final Standings from the month
prior to the tournament’s entry deadline. The final standings of a month are the standings
published on or near the last day of that month. Once a player is ineligible s/he may become
eligible again if his/her ranking falls outside the above standing range. A PLAYER
INELIGIBLE TO PLAY FUTURES IN ANY AGE DIVISION IS INELIGIBLE TO PLAY
FUTURES IN ALL AGE DIVISIONS. NORTH CAROLINA ELIGIBILITY APPLIES
TO OUT OF STATE PLAYERS.

Communication with the Tournament Director
ALL CONTACT with the tournament director must be done via email (bill.reynolds@townofcary.org). This is so we have a written record of all questions and concerns.

Withdrawals After the Deadline
After the registration deadline, the only way to withdraw is via email to the tournament director (bill.reynolds@townofcary.org). Phone withdrawals and withdrawals at the tournament desk will not be accepted. Failure to email a withdrawal will result in a DEFAULT-NO SHOW and the player will be subject to the USTA Suspension System. The email provides a written copy of the request. There will be no refunds after the deadline for any reason.

8s Rally Ball Division - Saturday 3:30pm
The Rally Ball Division is designed for 8s players who have little to no tournament experience. Points will begin with a drop hit into any part of the court. From there, all normal rules of tennis will apply. They will play 2 out of 3 games to 7 points, win by 2. The tournament will be completed in a matter of a few hours. If you would like to participate in the Rally Ball Division AFTER REGISTERING THROUGH TENNISLINK, you must email the tournament director (bill.reynolds@townofcary.org). Otherwise you will be put in the Advanced 8s Division by default.

Advanced 8s Tournament - Saturday 1:30pm
The Advanced 8s division will be played Saturday at 1:30pm. Matches will be played on the 36ft courts with Wilson Red Balls, and players are required to use rackets that are 23in or shorter (all rackets will be measured at check-in). Serves must go diagonally into the correct box. First serves must be hit out of the air into the correct service box, second serves can be hit off of the bounce, still into the correct service box. Scoring will be 2 out of 3 games to 7 points, win by 2 points. Players will serve two points each. A change of ends will occur after each game. Players are placed in this division by default.

10U Division - Will Play Saturday and Sunday ONLY (No Friday Play)
10s will play with the orange ball on the 60 ft. court. Players must use a racquet no longer than 25 inches (all rackets subject to measurement). Play will be 2 out of 3 short sets to 4 games. At 4-4, a 7pt tiebreaker is player to determine the set. If the players split sets, a 7pt tiebreaker is played in lieu of the third set and will determine the match.

12s Division
Will use the Wilson Green Dot Ball. Scoring will be two out of three sets to 6 games, win my 2. A 7pt tiebreaker is played at 6-6. A 10pt tiebreak is played if the players split sets and will determine the winner of the match.

14s-18s Divisions
Will play with Wilson Extra Duty Tournament Balls. Scoring will be 2 out of 3 sets to 6 games, win by two. At 6-6, a 7pt tiebreaker will be played to determine the set. If the players split sets, a 10pt tiebreaker will be played in lieu of the third set to determine the match.

NCTA Rain Policy
NCTA Rain Policy for all sanctioned tournaments 1. Any division where play has begun – no refund 2. Any division where no play has begun – a partial refund after deductions for actual expenses. 3. All completed scores must be reported. Incomplete matches are recorded as ABANDONED( match started but Referee decided not to complete) matches. Matches never started are recorded as UNPLAYED 4. It is at the discretion of the tournament committee if the entire tournament is canceled due to inclement weather. 5. Check the alternate scoring methods for inclement weather.

Refund Policy
No refunds are required after the online registration deadline. This is NC Tennis Policy.

Directions from anywhere in N.C. to the Cary Tennis Park 2727 Louis Stephens Drive From northwest of Cary to Cary Tennis Park: From Interstate 40 East, take exit #278 on the right. Go 0.2 miles. Turn right onto NC -55 South. Go 7 miles. Turn left onto High House Rd. Go 0.1 Turn Left on Carpenter Upchurch Rd.
Turn right on Louis Stephens Dr. Turn left into Cary Tennis Park.
From south of Cary to Cary Tennis Park: On NC 55, cross US 1 at Apex and continue on NC 55. Go 6 miles. Turn right onto High House Road. Turn left onto Carpenter Upchurch Rd. Turn Right onto Louis Stephens Dr. Turn left into Cary Tennis Park (2727 Louis Stephens Dr).
From southeast of Raleigh to Cary Tennis Park: From Interstate 40 West coming into Raleigh, pass exit #301 and bear left onto I-40 West/I-440/Inner Beltline. Go 8 miles. Take exit #293A onto US 64 West / US 1 South (not north) Go 2 miles. Take the exit on the right onto Cary Parkway. Go 5 miles. Turn left onto High House Road. Turn right onto Carpenter Upchurch Rd. Turn right onto Louis Stephens Dr. Turn left into Cary Tennis Park (2727 Louis Stephens Dr).
From northeast of Raleigh to Cary Tennis Park: After reaching I-440 South/Inner Beltline, continue south on this Interstate past exit #16 toward Durham. Continue with the set of directions above labeled "From southeast of Raleigh", starting at step 1. (Exit #16 is in the same area as exit #301 in those directions.)

Draw Limits
10s-18s draws will be limited to 32 players.

Free entry fee vouchers for first time JTT or High School tournament players
If you have played JTT or High School Tennis, you can contact NC Tennis before this tournament and receive a voucher for a rebate of your entry fees (minus the tennislink fee).

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
