What a great tournament we hosted with very nice players and parents. Thanks to all for making it a success. Our USTA Midwest Sportsmanship Award went to Sanjana Tallamraju of Munster, Indiana. She exhibited excellent sportsmanship on and off the court and received this year's prestigious award. Our Singles Champion this year was Kiley Rabjohns of Lake Forest, Illinois and our Doubles Champions were Diya Matta of Elk Grove Village, Illinois and Belen Nevenhoven of Rockford, Illinois. Great playing ladies!

START TIMES POSTED/WARM UP COURT PROCEDURE
Please be careful when reading your start times. There are two match times for singles and doubles. We will start the day with doubles and that is the earliest time but listed second on the report following singles. Make sure you see BOTH your singles and doubles start times. The Draws will be posted on Monday evening as per USTA Midwest Regulatios. You may book your warm up courts for Tuesday as soon as you see your start time. You may only book 1/2 hour and those courts must be Pre-Paid by credit card at the time of reservation. We do not allow parents and coaches taking up a spot on the warm up courts (they can be on the court but not hitting in unless there is room for them and most times there is but not guaranteed). If you want to be guaranteed the parent/coach to hit on the court, make a reservation at our secondary club, College Park West (3 miles away, see information below under "Additional Practice/Warm-Up courts" ) where anyone is allowed to hit in. You may book any Monday practice courts (day before tournament begins)at any time, for as long as you like and parents/coaches are welcome. Discounted rates: $30 per hour/ $15 per half hour. You cannot book courts beyond Tuesday till you know your start time for the following day.

ORDER OF PLAY
We will be trying a different order of play this year in singles, where on the third day the FIC will play three rounds (not the last day) and in the Main Draw last day we will only play the Finals and 3/4 playoff (not SF & Finals). This enables most to be done with the tournament sooner and not play the toughest matches lumped together on the last day. TUESDAY - Play begins at 8am. Doubles followed by Main Draw Singles Rd of 64 followed by the Qualifying Rd of 32 FIC Singles WEDNESDAY - Play begins at 8am. Doubles followed by Main Draw Singles Rd of 32 & 16. FIC Singles will play the Rd of 32 FIC, Qualifying Rd of 16. Doubles may follow THURSDAY - Play begins at 8am. Doubles followed by Main Draw Singles Quarters & Semis. FIC Singles will play the Rd of 16, Qualifying Quarters & Quarters. Doubles may follow FRIDAY Play begins at 8am for Finals, 3/4 Playoff and FIC Singles will play the Semi-Finals and Finals and ending with the Doubles Final

IMPORTANT DOUBLES TEAMS AND PAIRINGS
The Doubles in this tournament not only earn Midwest Level 3 points, but also earn National Level 4 points. FYI- because National rankings use a combined ranking, 15% of doubles points are added to your National Singles Ranking . Remember: 70% of you will play doubles in High School and College Coaches always look for players that can compete not only in singles but doubles too since most close Collegiate matches end in 4-3, resulting in the teams who won the doubles point winning the match. We expect and strongly encourage all players to compete in doubles and sign up as a team online with each others USTA number. We have shortened the scoring to Pro Sets and we plan to start the day with doubles to prevent long days as well as the doubles match also serving as your warm-up to singles. Even if you do not have a partner, register for doubles when you are registering for singles as this ensures your name will appear and not have to be manually entered later. There are two options available to you if you cannot find a partner on your own.
Option #1- We can help you find a partner but Privacy Laws and USTA rules prohibit us from giving out your contact information to other players. You will need to give us permission via email to PattyL58@comcast.net and permit us to give out your contact information.
Option #2-You can ask to be paired at random with another player by emailing PattyL58@comcast.net. NOTE: This is not a guarantee because if there are an odd number of players wanting to be paired, one player will not have a partner. We recommend and prefer that you find your own doubles partner or take advantage of Option #1
