Larger draws may be scheduled to start on Friday afternoon.
Tournament is at Jerry Cline; corner of Louisiana and I-40. If
players split sets a 10 point tie-breaker will be played in lieu of
the third set. Tournament directors do not have access to phone
numbers and email addresses of the tournament participants UNLESS
the player re-enters their contact information at time of event
registration. This means that if a player does not enter their
phone and email information each time they register for a
tournament, the tournament director will not be able contact them
for any reason, including withdrawals, defaults, byes, rain delays,
etc. Your cooperation will ensure that tournaments can continue to
communicate necessary information to you.Matches may be scheduled
Friday afternoon for larger draws. Tournament is at Jerry Cline:
Corner of Louisiana and Constitution. Please check draw often in
case of changes. In case of split sets, a ten point Match Tie
Breaker will be played (First to 10 points; win by two.) Ten 10
year old will play 7 point tiebreaker in all sets.
AWARDS WILL BE PRESENTED TO 1ST AND 2ND PLACE.
TOURNAMENT DRAW WILL BE DONE TUESDAYAT 9AM AT JERRY CLINE TENNIS
CENTER.
1. "Southwest Section Dress Code".
All players are required to wear appropriate tennis attire. Cut off
shorts, bare midriffs, compression shorts & tights (alone), or
any other attire that is simply recreational and not tennis
oriented is not acceptable.
2. "Parent/Player Contact Info" Tournament directors do not have
access to phone numbers and email addresses of the tournament

3. "Overrule Policy" ONCE A PLAYER HAS BEEN OVERRULED A SECOND
TIME, THEY WILL BE CAUTIONED THAT AFTER ANOTHER OVERRULE THEY WILL
BE PENALIZED FOR UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT UNDER THE POINT PENALTY
SYSTEM.
10 And Under Division
This tournament will offer 10 and under orange ball division. This
will be played on a 60 ft. court. The ball shall be a stage 2
(orange) ball. The Racket used by competitors shall be no longer
than 25 inches. The match will be played in a best of 2 out of 3
short sets.
Withdrawal Policy
If a player withdraws or defaults (for reason other than illness or
injury) from any sanctioned tournament in the Southwest Section
(L3-L6), after entries close, that player will be assessed 4
suspension pointsunless medical documentation of the injury or
illness is provided to the Tournament Director AND Southwest
Section Junior Player Development Manager within 48 hours after
the completion of the tournament.
"Player shall not enter tournament player cannot finish. Player
shall not enter a tournament (including mandatory consolation)
knowing the player will be unable to finish." p119 Friend at
Court
In theory, the Junior Competition Committee feels that it is
important to adopt and strongly enforce National's ruling on the
Suspension Point System. In recent years, several players have been
pulling out of tournaments, especially L3-5 events, on the final
day of competition or once a player is in the back draw.
Player Selection TypeNo Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
