WELCOME TO THE STOCKTON JR CHAMPIONSHIP
Draw Size:
48 players
Singles Draw Format:
Single elimination with a 3/4 playoff.
Doubles Draw Format:
Single elimination with a 3/4 playoff.
Match Format:
Singles- BG 14-18 2 out of 3 sets. BG 12 2 out of 3 sets with a match tie break in lieu of a 3rd set.
Doubles- 8 game pro set
Selection: Championship tournaments select players with the highest ranking from the most recently published Combined Sectional Final Ranking List. All players not selected shall be placed on an Alternate List that is ordered using the same list used to select the players.
Sites: University of the Pacific (UOP) Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center is located on Larry Heller Drive in Stockton 95207. There is ample parking in front of the tennis courts.
Brookside Country Club (BCC) 3603 St Andrews Drive Stockton Ca 95219 (Tennis courts are to the left of the guard house. Parking is available in front of tennis facility and across the street in the clubs parking lot.)
(OPTC) Oak Park Tennis Center 3514 North Sutter St Stockton Ca 95204 (Parking is available on the street in front of the tennis courts.)
Warm Up Courts: There will be warm up courts at each tournament site prior to the start of play each day. CHECK-IN PROCEDURES
Please check in at the tournament desk at least 15 minutes before your scheduled match time. Please go to the bathroom, fill your water bottle, etc. before you check in. Players are expected to check and comply with all scheduling done by the Tournament Committee.
LATE ENTRIES
Pursuant to USTA Regulations, late entries shall be placed on the bottom of the alternate list in the order received. Late entries received at the same time will be ordered by lot. To submit a late entry, email the player’s name, USTA number, division of entry, email address and cell phone number to Mike Erwin - contact information is above.
WITHDRAWALS PRIOR TO ENTRY DEADLINE
Prior to entries closing, a player may withdraw and automatically receive a refund of your entry fee by clicking on the "Withdrawal" link that is in the Edit Registration box at the top right of this page.
WITHDRAWALS AFTER ENTRY DEADLINE
As a courtesy to all players in this tournament who are being grouped based on ratings, players needing to withdraw are encouraged to do so as soon as possible. Immediately contact Mike Erwin (contact information is at the top of this page) if you need to withdraw from the tournament after entries close.
BALL TYPE
Each match will be played with three Penn tennis balls. New balls will be provided if a match goes to a third set.
DRESS CODE
Appropriate tennis attire is required at all times. Only shoes with non-marking soles are permitted.
TOURNAMENT EVALUATIONS
We highly recommend that you complete an evaluation of the Round Robin. Annual feedback from our participants is the best way for us to continue to improve the quality of the event for everyone. You will need your USTA membership number to complete the evaluation.
