Pathway Requirements
12-and-Under Pathway Players aged 12 years and under must meet certain pathway requirements to
enter tournaments. See Rule 10. Rule 10. Pathway Requirements for Competing in Tournaments USTA NorCal has established a pathway for players
aged 12 and under to enter into the competitive tournament structure. The purpose of the pathway is to ensure
that juniors are playing at their appropriate age and skill level. The pathway is mandatory as of January 1, 2014.
Before January 1, 2014, players may choose the level of tournament to enter, but USTA NorCal recommends
players follow the pathway. Information on the pathway and the requirements of each level can be found at
www.norcal.usta.com/juniors/TAUT_junior_development_pathway/.
