CHALLENGER CIRCUIT ELIGIBILITY REGULATIONS
The Challenger circuit is a series of sanctioned tournaments that count toward a regular state ranking. Beginning in January 2011, these tournaments began to count for Southern Level 5 points. **** The goal of this program is to provide a bridge between the entry-level junior tennis players and top state-ranked junior players. The purpose of the Challenger Circuit is to provide opportunities for beginning junior players to gain tournament experience against equal level competition.
**** CHALLENGER CIRCUIT ELIGIBILITY Rules: The player must be a USTA member. **** Any player currently ranked in the SC standings in the top 10 in the 12’s – 16’s age divisions must play up in the CHALLENGER Circuit.

AWARDS FOR COMPETITION & SPORTSMANSHIP
Awards will given to winners and finalists in Singles Main Draw and to winners of Consolation Singles, and to winners and finalists in Doubles.
A SPECIAL SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD WILL BE GIVEN TO A BOY AND A GIRL EXHIBITING THE BEST TENNIS SPORTSMANSHIP DURING THE TOURNAMENT.

DOUBLES REGISTRATION
DOUBLES REGISTRATION IS OPEN ONLINE UNTIL REGISTRATION CLOSES FOR PLAYERS TO ENTER DOUBLES.
PLAYERS MAY ALSO REGISTER AT CHECK IN ON FRIDAY, AND UNTIL 12 NOON SATURDAY.
DOUBLES WILL BEGIN AFTER 4:00PM SATURDAY.
ALL PLAYERS SHOULD CONFIRM AT CHECK IN THEIR DOUBLES ONLINE REGISTRATION ENTRY.

PLAYER HOSPITALITY
A Tee Shirt will be give to each player at check in. Water available on courts and ice and fruit for players. A lunch coupon will be provided for players Saturday.

USTA RULES & MATCHPLAY FORMAT
RULES AND MATCHPLAY will be in accordance with the 2016 USTA rules and regulations contained the Friend At Court manual. Draws are limited to 32 in each division.
Singles will be a feed in draw with consolations. Each singles player will play two rounds of matches before elimination. FOR the 12S, 14S, 16S, 18S: Singles Matches will be the best of 2 regular sets with a 10 point tiebreak game for a third set if needed. Doubles will be a single elimination format with matches being an 8 game pro set (a 7 point tiebreak at 8 games all).

South Carolina Tournament Level 4-Challenger: Beginning January 1, 2013, all CHALLENGER tournaments in SC will offer both yellow ball and green ball divisions for 12U play for the purpose of transition from the 10U orange ball. The 12U Green division is designated by "Quick Start: 12U" on the registration page. Play in the 12U green ball division will count toward the player's Current Standings.

Sportsmanship Responsibilities: All parents are encouraged complete the "Parenting My Champion" sportsmanship video before their player participates in this level tournament.

No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. Please consult your Section or District rules and regulations for entry requirements for this tournament. If you enter this tournament and are not eligible, any refund is as the discretion of the Tournament Director. Only USTA members can register online if available.
