New NorCal USTA rule involving overrules - please read!
From the NorCal office - The USTA Junior
Suspension Point System (SPS) will apply to all USTA NorCal sanctioned junior
tournaments, including Orange and Green Ball Tournaments. In a USTA NorCal
Junior Tournament, a code violation under the Point Penalty Suspension System
will be assessed for unsportsmanlike conduct when a player is overruled for the
third time during the tournament, and for each time the player is overruled
thereafter during the tournament.
Under The Code, players should always give any
benefit of doubt on a line call to their opponents. Call the ball as you would
expect it to be called for you, and there should be no issues.

Notes
Zero Tolerance Policy
Guidelines for Sportsmanship and Fair Play will be strongly
enforced by the officials. The point penalty system will be applied
by all officials. For violations, a loss of point is taken for the
first offense, a loss of game for the second offense, and default
for the third offense. Examples of violations include:
* Verbal Abuse or Profanity
* Racquet Abuse & Ball Abuse
* Obscene Gestures
* Physical Abuse
* Coaching ( verbal or signals)
* Stalling Play
* Unsportsmanlike conduct
In addition, we reserve the right to remove and/or ban anyone
from our facilities for inappropriate behavior. This includes
treatment of all officials, players, parents, tournament staff,
volunteers, and club personnel. Respectful treatment is expected at
all times. Please note that by the rules and regulations for
USTA-sanctioned tournaments, the referee will report all codes and
inappropriate off-court behavior by parents, spectators, and
coaches as well as players to NorCal for the administration of
suspension points.
SELECTION FOR SINGLES AND DOUBLES!!!
Please note that after entries close, USTA NorCal will be doing the
singles selections only. All players who entered doubles may not be
intially processed by NorCal. Players who are then selected for the
main draw and who entered the doubles will be manually added later
to the doubles draws. Please note that this doubles entry manual
process may take a few days. All players should always check the
competitors list to ensure that they are properly entered into
their events.
Doubles Players who have confirmed partners should notify the
tournament referee by Monday, August 22nd, at 6 PM, so that
appropriate pairings are made. Again doubles players should always
check the competitors list to ensure that they are correctly paired
up. Please do not list another player as a partner if you have not
confirmed this pairing with them! Players who wish to play doubles
but don't have partners will be randomly paired by the tournament
before the doubles draws are made. If you do not wish to be
randomly paired for doubles, you must make sure you are out of the
doubles list by Monday, August 22nd, at 6 PM.
The tournament cannot guarantee that all players will be paired if
there is an uneven number of entrants. A player may be drawn
randomly to be the first alternate in that situation.
