Player Registration:
Players may register at their first match site but should expect to arrive 30 minutes early to turn in their release form, pick up a shirt and packet. Players will not be allowed to play without turning in a release form.

Draw Size
This tournament is a 64 player draw for both Boys and Girls singles, and 32 draws for doubles.

Match Format:
Main draw will be a FIC thru the round of 16. All main draw matches will be 2-3 sets, regular scoring with mandatory 10 minute break before the third set. Consolation matches will be 2 sets with a 10 point tie break in lieu of the third set with 3 minute break before the third set tie break. Doubles will be 8 game Pro Set, regular scoring with tie break at 8 all, single elimination. Singles has a mandatory consolation with Main draw mandatory playoffs for 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th place.

General Info:
Players should check in 30 minutes before every match and be ready to play. Remember that online match times are the official times. If a time is adjusted onsite, make sure that you have it in writing. It is also a good idea to make sure and leave your cell # at the site when checking in. Appropriate tennis attire is expected with no black sole shoes. Players will not be allowed to check in if you are wearing flip flops or have on electronic devises such as ipod etc. Players are expected to be ready to play when checking in including having equipment ready and bathroom visits. Some locations may change from Friday to Saturday so pay attention to the site code next to your match time. Racket stringing will be available at both tennis centers. If you need to withdraw at anytime please send an email to steve@stevefranklintennis.com for a written confirmation. Maps will be provided at check in but it is always a good idea to print off the site location and directions to the site. Hitting Pros will be available but players must call in advance with the numbers provided.

Schedule of play:
First matches will be Friday at approx. 9am, Singles to play first. Expect singles main draws to play two matches on Friday, one match Saturday, two Sunday with finals on Monday. Back draw will play semis and finals on Monday. Doubles will play one round Friday, two Saturday, one Sunday with finals on Monday. Playoffs for 4th thru 6th singles are mandatory as are playoffs for 3rd and 4th doubles. This schedule is required from the National office.

Practice Courts:
Courts will be open 1 hour before the first round matches for warm up. 2 Practice courts will be available both Friday and Saturday at Southlake Tennis Center. Call to reserve. 2 courts will be available at Coppell High School on Friday, first come first serve. Wagon Wheel will have practice courts open on Friday thru Sunday but may be limited at times. Players will be required to share practice courts even when reserved. Thursday thru Monday practice courts will be available at Dove Park 6 cts, Heritage Park 2 cts, Coppell Middle School 2 cts, Coppell Middle East and West 2 cts each, and Carroll Middle School 2 cts. Racket Stringing:
Wagon Wheel Tennis Center offers racket stringing during the tournament. Both tennis centers also have a full service Pro shop. Additionally, Dicks Sporting Goods is located in close proximity just North of DFW airport off of 121, 2000 Market Place Blvd Irving, TX 75063.

Video during match play:
Video is not allowed during this National Selection event. The USTA and this event retains the right to all video and some players have indicated that they prefer not to be videotaped, therefore no video is allowed during the tournament.

Seeding Criteria:
Seeding will done using the National Selection list dated November 17th.

Officials:
Officials will be present and calling foot faults with no warning, enforcing the code and help observe courts when needed. Remember parents can not call for an official to come to a court, only players. Parents bad behavior can cause a player to receive code violations.

Doubles Entry and Deadline: ALL PLAYERS Will BE ENTERED INTO DOUBLES
The deadline for doubles partners request and pairing will be Monday November 21, at 6pm. All singles players are guaranteed an entry into doubles and will be placed into the event. If you are NOT interested in playing doubles, please send us an email to withdraw. The deadline is for partner request and needs to be final on that date. It is a good idea to make sure you are listed properly online with your partner. If you do not sign up with a partner, players will be randomly paired. Doubles is a single elimination format with 8 game pro set, playoff for third and fourth. Players may request a partner by sending an email to the TD that then can be forwarded to the requested player. All doubles pairings and request will begin to be processed after the selection process is final and the singles draws are full.

WHAT IS THE FREEZE DEADLINE: NOVEMBER 9th
The Freeze Deadline is the deadline by which a player that is on the alternate list of the higher level tournament and the accepted player list of the lower level tournament has to commit to being on one list. The Freeze Date for all concurrent national tournaments shall be 11:59 a.m. ET 16 days before the start date of the concurrent tournament scheduled to start first, or such other time as is published on the tournament website. For example, if the earlier of two concurrent national tournaments is scheduled to begin on the 17th of the month, the Freeze Deadline shall be 11:59 am ET on the 1st of the month.

Prior to Freeze Deadline:
Prior to the Freeze Deadline, a player may appear as both an alternate for the higher level concurrent tournament and as an accepted player at a lower level concurrent tournament. Prior to the Freeze Deadline, any such player that is offered and accepts a place on the acceptance list of the higher level tournament shall be permitted to withdraw from the lower level tournament without penalty and play in the higher level tournament.

After the Freeze Deadline:
After the Freeze Deadline, a player may ONLY appear as EITHER an alternate for the higher level tournament OR as an accepted player at the lower level tournament. A player not yet selected for any tournament may continue to appear on the alternate lists of multiple concurrent tournaments.

Player Obligation by the Freeze Deadline:
A player that appears on the acceptance list of the lower level tournament and a higher level tournament alternate list that desires to remain on the alternate list for the higher level tournament must withdraw from the lower level tournament by the Freeze Deadline. Such a player shall be required to send an email to the Tournament Directors of both tournaments by the Freeze Deadline stating this preference and the player shall be refunded their entry fee by the lower level tournament.
Any player that fails to email their preference to withdraw from a lower level tournament and remain as an alternate for the higher level tournament shall not be permitted after the Freeze Deadline to withdraw from the lower level tournament and accept a spot in the higher level tournament draw. Any violation of this policy will result in the levying of 4 suspension points for withdrawing from a tournament to play in another

Bad Weather and Rain back up plan:
This is an outdoor tournament, therefore our first option on bad weather is to obtain more courts in order to get back on schedule. Given long periods of rain, we MAY be able to obtain indoor courts and players will be charged additional fees to cover court cost.
