GENERAL INFORMATION
When you register, be sure to provide your email address and cell phone number during the registration process. We do not have access to phone numbers and email addresses of the tournament participants UNLESS the player re-enters their contact information at the time of the event registration. This means that if a player does not enter their phone number and email information each time they register for a tournament, we will not be able to contact them for any reason, including withdrawals, defaults, etc. Your cooperation will ensure that we can continue to communicate necessary information to all of the tournament players.

TOURNAMENT SELECTION
The top eight (8) eligible players on the most recently published NorCal Final Combined Ranking Lists in the boys’ and girls’ 18, 16, 14, and 12 divisions will be selected.

COMPETITION FORMATS
Preliminary Rounds: The preliminary rounds will be played using a Round Robin format. The players in each division will be divided into two flights of four players each. The 1st seed will be placed in one flight and the 2nd seed will be placed in other flight. The 3rd and 4th seeded players will be drawn to separate flights. The 5th and 6th seeded players will be drawn to separate flights. The 7th and 8th seeded players will be drawn to separate flights.
Treatment of Defaults, Withdrawals, Walkovers and Retirements: A player is credited with a win when there is a default, retirement, withdrawal or walkover of the opponent (unless an alternate takes the place of a player - see below). A player who is defaulted for any reason other than lateness will not play in subsequent matches and may not be declared the winner of the round robin. A player who is defaulted, retires, or creates a walkover will finish lower than every other player who has an identical match record.
Substitution of a Player with an Alternate: During the preliminary rounds, a player that withdraws or is defaulted for any reason other than lateness, whether it is before the first match or a subsequent match in the preliminary rounds, will be replaced with an alternate, if an alternate is available.
Championship Match: The top finisher in each of the two flights shall play one Championship match to determine the winner of the tournament.
Playoff for 3rd & Fourth Place: The 2nd best finishers in each of the two flights shall play one match to determine 3rd and 4th place.

Only NorCal ranking points will be awarded for this tournament.
Champion: - 100 Ranking Points for Each Round Robin Win - Plus 200 Additional Ranking Points - Plus Bonus Points
Runner-Up: - 100 Ranking Points for Each Round Robin Win - Plus 125 Additional Ranking Points - Plus Bonus Points
3rd Place: - 100 Ranking Points for Each Round Robin Win - Plus 25 Additional Ranking Points - Plus Bonus Points
All Other Players: - 100 Ranking Points for Each Round Robin Win - Plus Bonus Points

MATCH AND SCORING FORMATS
The match format will be the best of three tiebreak sets, regular scoring.

DETERMINING TOP FINISHERS
After completion of the preliminary rounds (whereby each player plays every other player in the flight - 3 rounds per player), the top finishers will be determined as described in the USTA Regulations (USTA Regulation II.B.6.c. and d.).
USTA Regulation II.B.6. Round Robin:
C) Determining order of finish. The player who wins the most matches is the winner. If two players are tied, then the winner of their head-to-head match is the winner.
If three or more players are tied, the Referee shall use the following steps in the order listed to break all ties. The Referee shall break as many ties as possible using a given step before using the next step. These steps are: • The head-to-head win-loss record in matches involving just the tied players • The player with the highest percentage of sets won of all sets completed • The head-to-head win-loss record in matches involving the players who remain tied • The player with the highest percentage of games won of all games completed • The head-to-head win-loss record in matches involving the players who remain tied • The player with the highest percentage of sets won of sets completed among players in the group under consideration • The head-to-head win-loss record in matches involving the players who remain tied • The player with the highest percentage of games won of games completed among the players under consideration and • The head-to-head win-loss record in matches involving the players who remain tied. If the Referee has applied all the steps and a tie still cannot be broken, the Referee shall use a random drawing among the remaining tied players to determine their order of finish.
D) Defaults, withdrawals, walkovers, and retirements. A player is credited with a win in the round robin if: • The opponent withdraws • The opponent creates a walkover • The opponent retires or • An official defaults the opponent
When breaking a tie, only completed sets count as sets won and only completed games count as games won. A player who is defaulted for any reason other than lateness shall not play in subsequent matches and may not be declared the winner of the round robin. A player who is defaulted, retires, or creates a walkover shall finish lower than every player who has an identical match record.

PARKING
Parking near the Taube Family Tennis Stadium is available in the Varsity
Parking Lot between Stanford Stadium and Klein Field at Sunken Diamond. The
Varsity Parking Lot can be accessed via Nelson Road, off of Galvez Street.
Additional parking is available in the Track House lot adjacent to Cobb Track
& Angell Field at the corner of Galvez and Campus Drive.
Visitor
parking will have either a meter at the parking space or a permit
vending machine located in the parking lot. Stanford requires permits for its
on-campus lots. Visitors may park in lots or spaces designated with a green
"P" or an "E" sign. Weekend and holiday parking is free.
You do not need to worry about paying for
parking this weekend from Saturday-Monday at Stanford; it is FREE.

WATER & ICE
Water sources are limited and there is no ice machine at Stanford. Taube Stadium has a couple cooled drinking fountains and Taube South has one un-cooled drinking fountain. Players are advised to bring their own jugs of water and ice.

DRESS CODE
Appropriate tennis attire is required at all times. Only shoes with non-marking soles are permitted. Clothing not considered proper tennis attire can include, but not be limited to: • Sports bras worn alone (without a shirt). • Shirts with references to sex, drugs, alcohol or tobacco. • Compression shorts worn alone (not covered by shorts or a skirt).

The Wilson US Open ball will be utilized for the tournament.
