FAQ
- This is a Southern Level 3 Tournament - You may enter Two (2) Divisions in this tournament in hopes of getting into the older division. You will only be selected for one singles event. 4 applicants will be selected for the older division based on their younger standing, if it is in the top 40. If you absolutely do not want to play the younger division, do not register for it. You should only register for two singles divisions if you are willing to play either division. - You may not enter a different age division in doubles than your singles. - The Selection Process DOES include the selection of 1/8 from the Younger Age Group - ALL SINGLES PLAYERS WILL HAVE AT LEAST 3 ROUNDS! WIN OR LOSE, CHECK THE DESK AND/OR DRAWS TO FIND YOUR NEXT MATCH TIME. (Please note a Round may be a bye - we will do our best to have 3 rounds of actual play but it will depend on the number of byes.) - Youngsville/Lafayette is in the Central Time Zone - Please read all of the information provided on the website. It is a lot to scroll through but will probably answer any questions you might have. - Both Singles and Doubles times will be posted in the Future Match Info Report on 9/24 in the evening. - On Wednesday, 9/23, PLEASE CHECK THE DOUBLES COMPETITORS LIST TO MAKE SURE YOUR PAIRING IS CORRECT - Email any other questions to jwahlborg1@gmail.com - this is the best form of communication. With such a short amount of time between registration closing and the start of the tournament, answering and returning phone calls is nearly impossible. Emails can be answered much quicker and at any time during the day or night.

DOUBLES
We will not have contact information for doubles until selections have been made on Monday. You can register without a partner. We will randomly pair anyone who does not have a partner. We do not have facebook for finding partners. Facebook has proven ineffective for finding a partner since a lot of people wait until the last minute to register for the tournament. If you find a partner before 8:00 pm Tuesday (9/22) night, both players need to email me with your partner's name at jwahlborg1@gmail.com.
You may not enter a different age division in doubles than your singles. I know this is difficult when you register for two singles divisions and are not sure for which singles you will be selected. It is also a problem because your planned doubles partner may end up playing a different age division in singles and you will have to find a new partner. When making the selections, we will only select doubles players in the same age division as their singles with or without a partner. Once selections are made, you can be added to the correct doubles age division - please email me to be added to the correct doubles age division. Also, doubles pairings can be made or changed by emailing jwahlborg1@gmail.com. Please do not email/call asking for players contact information. Per USTA, Southern, and Louisiana Rules this is forbidden. Allowing you to register for doubles without a partner, gives you the opportunity to let others know you are interested in playing doubles increasing your chances of finding a partner. By allowing you to register for doubles without a partner, you have the added responsibility to notify us if you find a partner or you want to be withdrawn. If you do not have a partner or withdraw by 8:00 pm Tuesday (9/22), you are telling us you want to be randomly paired with a partner.
