Concurrent Tournament Rule
A player shall not be entered at the time entries close in two or more USTA sanctioned tournaments scheduled to take place at the same time, in whole or in part, unless each Tournament Committee involved understands the situation, concurs in writing, and each agrees to accommodate the player’s schedule. The final decision rests with each tournament committee. If one tournament agrees to accept concurrent entries and accommodate the player's schedule but the concurrent tournament does not, the player may not enter both. If entries for the overlapping tournaments close on different dates, approval must be received from all Tournament Committees no later than the entry closing date that occurs last. Players who enter a tournament and play it to completion, may then enter another tournament with overlapping dates without permission. If a player violates this concurrent tournament rule ranking points earned in any concurrent tournament played will not count toward ranking or the Grand Prix Points Race and the concurrent tournaments will not count toward the minimum tournament requirement to qualify for Grand Prix.

Notes
SPECIAL OFFER: During weekdays between November 16-27,
tournament entrants may make court reservations to try out the
indoor courts by paying a special rate of $15 per person for the
guest fee. (Normally, it's $25, and you must play with a member.)
Call the Front Desk no more than 3 days in advance at 510-226-8500
ext 505 (e.g. on Friday for Monday). To use the court, check-in at
the Front Desk, show i d, and fill out a guest card.
ENTRY INFORMATION:
Please provide email address and phone numbers in your entry
information, in case we have to contact you (e.g. your opponent
gets sick the day before your 8:00 a.m. match).
Until we actually make all the draws, we cannot tell how the
schedule of matches will shake out. In other words, we cannot tell
if a flight will only be played on one weekend. So when entering,
you should plan on being available to play both weekends. If you
just have a few hours on one day during which you cannot play, we
can often work around your time constraint. In that case, send an
email to lparker@clubsports.com, listing the starting and ending
times that you are not able to be at the club, and the reason for
the time constraint. If it does not work out and we cannot put you
into the draw, we will either not charge your credit card or refund
(by check) your entry fee a few weeks after the tournament is
finished.
Players may enter at most 1 singles event, at most 2 doubles
events, but NOT BOTH SINGLES AND DOUBLES NOR BOTH SINGLES AND
MIXED. In other words, players may enter:
singles but not doubles or mixed, or
doubles and mixed but not singles.
Players may not enter doubles or mixed in two divisions (like MD
3.0 and 4.0).
Draws must have a minimum of 3 entries to be held.
When signing up for doubles, both partners must submit an entry
online.
Draws may be limited, depending on the total number of entrants.
According to USTA NorCal regulations, entry is NOT on a FIRST COME
- FIRST SERVED basis. If needed, teams/players will randomly be
pulled out of the largest draws and placed on the alternate list.
(Although this has happened, it is rare. Usually, all eligible
entrants are selected.) If they do not get to play, their entry fee
will either not be charged to their credit card or refunded by
check a few weeks after the tournament is completed.
This tournament uses the "Player Selection Process." After
submitting on online entry, the person's name is put on the
Applicant list. After the tournament processes the entries, which
might include drawing names out of the hat to pare down the list to
a manageable number of players, then the applicants who are
officially entered will receive a confirmation email and their
credit card will be charged for the fees. (In most years, all
eligible applicants have been selected.)
If a player must withdraw from the tournament before the entry
deadline, it can be done online at the entry website. If a player
must withdraw from the tournament after the entry deadline, contact
the Tournament Director at 510-226-8500 ext.516 AND at
lparker@clubsports.com.
