PLAYER INFORMATION
1. The Tournament Desk and courts are located at ClubSport Fremont,
46650 Landing Pkwy, at the corner of Warren Blvd, which is on the
west side of Hwy 880 at the south end of Fremont.
2. All players and guests must sign in at the Front Desk upon
arrival.
3. Check-In at the Tournament Desk (at the bottom of the steps to
the Fitness Center) approximately 15 minutes ahead of scheduled
match time, and be fully ready to walk on the court and play.
4. It is the responsibility of all players to check the draws for
times of all matches. Please provide your email address and phone
numbers when you enter, in case there are changes after the draws
are made, and the tournament director needs to contact you. If
there are global changes to the schedule, a message will be left on
the tournament website.
5. Matches for the SECOND WEEKEND will mostly be scheduled
initially, but may be scheduled after completion of the first
weekend. If you do not see a time for your match prior to the start
of the tournament, it may mean that it will be played on the second

6. Play is planned to be on the 5 indoor courts. The three outdoor
courts may be used for matches at the Chairman's discretion.
Outdoor matches may be played under lights. Some matches may be
played in the EVENING.
7. Although two of the outdoor courts are available to club members
to reserve, if they are open during the tournament, they may be
used by tournament entrants for warm-up. Also, the indoor courts
are available 30 minutes prior to the first matches of the day
(8:00 on the first 3 days and 9:00 on the final Sunday) for warm-up
on a first come first served basis, while the referee sets up the
courts.
8. Matches are the best 2 out of 3 sets, regular scoring, with a
regular 7 point tie-break at six all. Alternative scoring system: a
10 point tie-break in lieu of the 3rd set may be used, if
necessary. All events are single elimination. However, in the 4.5

ENTRY INFORMATION
Please provide email address and phone numbers in your
entry information, in case we have to contact you (e.g. your
opponent gets sick the day before your 8:00 a.m. match).
Until we actually make all the draws, we cannot tell how the
schedule of matches will shake out. In other words, we cannot tell
when a flight will be played nor if it will be played on just one
weekend. So when entering, you should plan on being available to
play both weekends. If you have just a few hours on one day during
which you cannot play, we can often work around your time
constraint. In that case, go ahead and enter, and send an email to
lparker@clubsports.com, listing the starting and ending times that
you are not able to be at the club, and the reason for the time
constraint. We will make the determination after the entries close,
when we do the draws and schedule. If it does not work out and we
cannot put you into the draw, we will not charge your credit card.
If it does work out, we will put you in, "process" your entry, and
charge your credit card.
Players may enter at most 1 singles event and 1 doubles event. In
other words, players may enter singles and doubles, or singles and
mixed, but not singles and doubles and mixed, nor mens or womens
doubles and mixed, nor singles or doubles in two divisions (like
3.5 and 4.5).
Draws must have a minimum of 3 entries to be held.
When signing up for doubles or mixed, both partners must
submit an entry online.
Draws may be limited, depending on the total number of entrants in
the entire tournament. According to USTA NorCal regulations, entry
is NOT on a FIRST COME - FIRST SERVED basis. If needed,
teams/players will randomly be pulled out of the largest draws and
placed on the alternate list. (Although this has happened, it is
rare. Usually, all eligible entrants are selected.) If they do not
get selected, their entry fee will either not be charged to their
credit card or refunded by check a few weeks after the tournament
is completed.
This tournament uses the "Player Selection Process." After
submitting on online entry, the person's name is put on the
Applicant list. After the tournament processes the entries, which
might include drawing names out of the hat to pare down the list to
a manageable number of players, then the applicants who are
officially entered will receive a confirmation email and their
credit card will be charged for the fees. (In most years, all
eligible applicants have been selected.)
If a player must withdraw from the tournament before the entry
deadline, it can be done online at the entry website. If a player
must withdraw from the tournament after the entry deadline, contact
the Tournament Director at 510-226-8500 ext.516 AND at
lparker@clubsports.com.
The draws and schedule will be posted by 8 a.m. on Wednesday.
Player Selection TypePlayers are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry TypeEntry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, January 29, 2015 11:59:00 PM Pacific Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
