Alpine Hills is happy to host the 2015 Fall Orange and Green
Challenge at Alpine Hills Swim and Tennis Club.
Players must be "Pathway Eligible" to compete in Orange or Green
Ball events. If you are not Pathway Eligible, you will be denied
entry into this tournament.
Draws shall be one of the following formats that provides a player
no fewer than 3 singles matches and no more than 6 singles
matches.
Orange Ball
-- Events with 4-5 players shall play a Round Robin that is
scheduled so as to complete all the matches in a division on one
day in no more than 4-6hrs.
-- Events with 6-7 players, or 9-15 players or 17or more players
shall play a multiple concurrent Round Robins. There may be a
playoff. All matches are scheduled so as to complete all the
matches in a division on one day in no more than 4-6hrs.
-- Events with 8 or 16 players shall play a Compass Draw. All
matches are scheduled so as to complete all the matches in a
division on one day in no more than 4-6hrs.
-- The singles match format is a short set to 4 games with no-ad
scoring.
-- The doubles match format is a 10pt match tiebreak.
Green Ball
Same as above save the singles match format is is a 6 game set with
no-ad scoring.
-- Any playoff matches on the second day shall be best of 3
tiebreak sets with a 10pt breaker in lieu of the third set.
Player Selection TypeNo Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry TypeEntry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, September 6, 2015 11:59:00 PM Pacific Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
