RISING STARS TOURNAMENTS ARE FOR BEGINNER NOVICE PLAYERS TO GAIN TOURNAMENT EXPERIENCE. **** THE EMPHASIS IS ON FUN, COMPETITION AND LEARNING ABOUT TOURNAMENT TENNIS FOR PLAYERS AND PARENTS. ******* ANY PLAYER HAVING MORE THAN 200 RANKING POINTS IN ANY DIVISION IN ANY STATE ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN NOVICE LEVEL 5 TOURNAMENTS.

IMPORTANT PLAYER/PARENT INFORMATION
PLAYER & PARENT TOURNAMENT ORIENTATION STARTING TIME - ALL MATCHES ARE SUNDAY APRIL 12. ***** THE PARENTS/PLAYER MEETING WILL BE AT 8:30AM. ALL PLAYERS in EACH EVENT at least ONE PARENT must attend PLAYER/PARENT MEETING AT 8:30AM AT CAYCE TENNIS & FITNESS CENTER.Round robin matches with SHORT SETS FORMATS FOR ALL EVENTS with 3 or more players will begin at 9:00AM. **** Lunch for players begins at 11:30AM.
MATCH PLAY FORMAT & COURTS - BALL- RACQUETS *****There will be multiple matches in a roundrobin format for novice boys and girls ages 8-18 years. The 8 and under division will use the smaller 36 foot court and the red balls and the 23 inch racquet . **** The 10 and Under division will use the 60 foot court and transition balls and the 25 inch racquet. ***** The 12s division will use the Green Dot balls on the regular court and 14s-18s year old divisions will use the regular 78 foot court and regular yellow balls. ***** A short set scoring format will be used for the 8s and 10s, and the 12s-18s.*****

ALL PLAYERS AT CHECK IN WILL RECEIVE A TOURNAMENT TEE SHIRT. PLAYERS SHOULD BE SURE TO INCLUDE THEIR TEE SHIRT SIZE DURING ONLINE REGISTRATION. ****** WINNERS IN EACH EVENT WILL RECEIVE AN AWARD.

One day entry level tournament for players new to tennis. 8 and
10s will use the modified courts and balls.
South Carolina Tournament Level-5 Rising Stars: All parents must complete the "Parenting My Champion" sportsmanship video before their player participates in this level tournament.

No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. Please consult your Section or District rules and regulations for entry requirements for this tournament. If you enter this tournament and are not eligible, any refund is as the discretion of the Tournament Director. Only USTA members can register online if available.
