*** Tournament Update as of Tue 12/29 10PM ***
I stated that we would go back to the regular format if all matches were completed today. They were not. To still be able to still go back to the original formats, I had to re-balance the two sites that we will be using tomorrow and to reschedule both days.
Reminder: [1] All doubles: 8 games pro set [2] Singles in main draw and 3rd and 4th places: 3 full sets. [3] Singles in consolation and all other playoff matches: 2 sets and a 10-points tie-break. [4] Matches carried over part of a round where an 8 games pro set was played should fiish that round with an 8 games pro set.
The updated schedules are now posted. Please look again at your matches and make sure to verify the location for each match.
Wish you a pleasant remaining tournament.

*** About Tournament & Schedules ***
Next to the 'Important Information' button there is a new 'draws' button. Use it to find the event(s) that a player is registered to. Know
that some draws are quite large so the system divided them in two, so
note that a symbol (with a draw on it) allows you to select the top or
bottom half of the draw and you could on the second part of the draw. On the left of each draw, find the player's name and follow the line to the right. That will show you the first match, with a date/time and the abbreviated site name (e.g. DAC is De Anza College), Come 15 minutes before your scheduled match time. Report your match result (win or lose) and ask for your next match time.
|
*** Important Registration Information ***
[1] When registering to the tournament, please
make sure to provide your contact information (phone #s and email
address) as we would otherwise be unable to reach you when needed
(registration issues, schedule changes, withdraws, weather issues, ...). [2]
Doubles registrations: No later than the end of the Sunday prior to the
Sunday start date of the tournament, any doubles players that have
not previously entered as a team should advise the tournament director of the
partnerships. All players without a partner will then be paired up. It
is your responsibility to check the web site (Competitors list and
draws) to learn about your doubles participation. Players without a partner will be paired up after Sunday night!!!
|
*** Concurrent Tournament Rule ***
When entries close, a player shall not be
entered in two or more sanctioned tournaments if any parts of the
tournaments overlap, unless each Tournament Committee involved
understands the situation and concurs in writing. If entries for the
overlapping tournaments close on different dates, approval must be
received from all Tournament Committees no later than the entry closing
date that occurs last. Players who enter a tournament and play it to
completion, may then enter another tournament with overlapping dates
without permission. A player who is on the alternate list in one
tournament is not considered in violation of the Concurrent Tournament
Rule if they enter another concurrent tournament. Players who violate the Concurrent Tournament Rule shall forfeit all ranking points earned at the concurrent tournament.
