*** Tournament Draws and Schedules ***
The tournament draws and schedules are now posted. Remember that the 'Challenger' events are now called 'Entry Level' events.
Next to the 'Important Information' button there is a new 'draws' button. Use it to find the event(s) that a player is registered to. Know that some draws (e.g. B12s, B14s, ...) are quite large so the system divided them in two, so note that a symbol (with a draw on it) allows you to select the top or bottom half of the draw and you could on the second part of the draw. On the left of each draw, find the player's name and follow the line to the right. That will show you the first match, with a date/time and the abbreviated site name (e.g. DAC is De Anza College), Come 15 ninutes before your scheduled match time. Report your match result (win or lose) and ask for your next match time.

*** Junior Grand Prix Circuit Period ***
The NorCal Grand Prix Circuit is a series of NorCal junior tournaments
from January through August. In 2015, the following tournaments have
been designated as Grand Prix tournaments: • All USTA NorCal junior Open Tournaments that start on or after January 1 and end on or before August 1 in 2015.
The
Grand Prix rankings will be calculated monthly using the same method
used for the USTA NorCal Final Ranking Lists, except that: • only the singles and doubles results from the Grand Prix Circuit Tournaments will be included; and •
a player’s combined ranking will be based on the player’s four (4) best
singles and four (4) best doubles Grand Prix Circuit Tournaments.
Players
who accumulate Grand Prix ranking points will also accumulate ranking
points that will count toward their USTA NorCal rankings. At the end of
the Grand Prix period, the top eight (8) players in each age division on
the NorCal Junior Grand Prix combined ranking lists will be selected to
play in the Grand Prix Invitational Tournament, except that a player
shall not be eligible if they have been defaulted from a Grand Prix
Designated Tournament for reason other than lateness.
If you have
any questions about the NorCal Junior Grand Prix Circuit, please email
Tommy Tu at the USTA NorCal office at ttu@norcal.usta.com.
