8-and-under Tournament
The Palmetto hosts an 8U exhibition tournament on Saturday, May 30 at the Belton Tennis Center, 104 Brown Avenue, Belton, SC. All players, parents and coaches should be onsite by 8:30 to check in and attend a pretournament meeting. Play should conclude by 12:00. A hit-and-get for prizes will be provided for all players and lunch will be provided for all attendees.

8U Rules and Scoring
Play will be on a 36' court using the red felt ball and rackets not to exceed 23" in length. Each match will consist of two out of three 7-point games (with sudden death at 6-all). Players will rotate the serve every 2 points. If enough players enter boys and girls divisions will be played. If not it will be a coed event.

The Palmetto Chamionships 8U competition will be singles only
and will begin with a player/parent meeting at 8:30. Play will
begin immediately after and should conclude by 12:00. All players
will receive a t-shirt, award and lunch. All play will be on a 36'
court using the Dunlop red felt ball and racquets not exceeding 23"
in length. The scoring format will be the best 2 out of 3 7-point
tiebreaker (win by 1) games. Players will serve twice, then other
player serves twice. Players will change sides at the end of each
tiebreaker game.
South Carolina Tournament Level-5 Rising Stars: All parents must complete the "Parenting My Champion" sportsmanship video before their player participates in this level tournament.

There will be no Matches Friday evening. There will be tournament check in Friday evening 4:00-6:00 PIZZ FRIDAY EVENING with optional check in. Thank You

No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, May 28, 2015 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
