REFUNDS 10/19/15
Refunds are done by check. All information is sent to the Richmond County Accounting Department to be processed. The refund process takes 20-21 working days. We are calling all players to verify mailing addresses and to whom to make the check out to. You may email your information if you have not received a call or email as of today.
Players who withdrew from singles and doubles, other than weather related, before the tournament was cancelled will not receive a refund. Please read the withdrawal policy on the tournament page. Those players who did not withdraw from singles (or doubles only players) will get a partial refund. Some players who were selected for doubles only and withdrew because they did not get into the singles main draw will receive a full refund.

TOURNAMENT CANCELLATION

Inclement Weather
In the event
of inclement weather and you do not play any matches in this tournament you are
entitled to a partial refund based on the fixed tournament expenses. Please
understand that tournaments have fixed costs which include: Trophies, T-shirts,
Balls, USTA Officials, and many other costs that we must cover. The tennislink
portion of your entry fee is non-refundable in accordance with USTA policy. If
you do complete a match there is no refund/credit. Thank you for your
understanding.

The
Participating Hotels are offering players a discounted rate and are supporting
tennis in our community. When you book rooms at one of these hotels let them
know you are attending a tournament at Newman Tennis Center. The State of Georgia has added a $5 per night room tax to all Hotel rooms if you stay less then 30 day in a row. This will be assessed by the hotel and applies to all hotels in Georgia. Thank you.

Selection Process
Because this
is a Level 3 STA Event the following Selection Process is being used: Top 32
players applying from the USTA/Southern latest standings list. 28 players from
this age group will be selected and up to 4 players from the younger age group
who are eligible from the younger age group, who have a standing in the top 40
of the younger age group, and are not in the selected 28, will be
selected. The names of the player who
have been selected will appear as competitors. Alternates are listed in the
report section. do not refer to the
alternates on the far left side of the web page (that list is not updated).
Players are
allowed to enter two divisions with these guidelines: #1. players selected to
both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected to the older
age division. they would be removed from the other age division. #2. players not
selected to either divisions would remain on the alternates lists for both
divisions but would be obligated to play the division they first get in, from
the alt. list. they would be removed from the alternate list in the other
division. #3. players selected to one age division would be removed from the
alternates list of the division they were not selected. #4. once a player is
selected for any one division no changes can be made.

Tournament Check In
Early Tournament Check in will be Friday October 2
from 5-8pm at Newman Tennis Center. Doubles will begin on Friday. You may check-in at your scheduled site for doubles.
Saturday check in will ONLY be held at Newman Tennis
Center. If you are checking in on Saturday, you must come to NTC prior to going
to your playing site. You should plan on checking in at least 1 hour prior to
your first match time. Saturday Check in will start at 7am with play starting
at 8am.

Recording matches
Matches may be recorded as long as both players are agreeable. At anytime in the match or before the match starts, a player or parent or guardian of the player may declined to have the match recorded or stop recording.

Playing Format and Scoring
32 players
will be selected for each event (see selection process headline) and then be
split into two Draws of 16 players using the Waterfall System for selection
(see Waterfall Headline), with a Full Feed in Consolation through the Quarters
and 3/4 playoff. IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE CURRENT SOUTHERN REGULATIONS: All
Singles draws (12-18) will play the best two out of three tie-break sets with a
Match tie break in lieu of the third set. The Finals of the Consolation will
not be scheduled and will not be played.
Boys and
Girls 10's will play on the 60 foot court using Orange Low Compression Balls
and 25" racquet.
The required
scoring format, for 10's singles matches, shall be the best of two short sets
(first to four (4) and win by two), with a set tiebreak (first to seven (7) and
win by two) at 4-4 in each set, and a set tiebreak (first to seven (7) and win
by two) in lieu of the third set.

Doubles Information
Please follow these directions if you need a doubles partner and how to confirm your partner. We will not give out player contact information with out that players consent. ALL PLAYERS MUST CONFIRM DOUBLES TEAMS AFTER SELECTIONS TO INSURE CORRECT TEAM PAIRINGS.
If you do not have a partner and would like to have us share your contact information with other players (that also are sharing their information) please send a request to the TD to share your contact information. Each day or when there are at least 2 players in an event that have sent in their information we will send that information to those players that are sharing their information.

Dress Code
The Tournament
committee has set a dress code in this Tournament The Rules to which all
participants are expected to adhere.
These Rules are based on our community standards and all participants
must observe, all rules, at all of the sites used during the tournament. Good manners on and off the court will be
required of all participants, coaches and family at all times.
Proper
tennis attire should be worn. For
females, proper attire does not include, roll down waist bands on skirts or
shorts, or exposure of skin between tops and skirts or shorts. For males proper attire does not include tank
tops or sleeveless shirts, or shorts worn below the waist. Shirts must be worn at all times. Please respect our standards and adhere to
our rules. Failure to do so will result
in the player being required to change prior to the match. This delay may result in penalties (PPS)
being assessed.

Tennis Balls being used
We will be
using Penn Marathon Extra Duty tennis balls for this tournament. Wilson Orange balls for 10's. Wilson Green Dot for the 11and under event.

Withdrawing from a match or Tournament / Refund Policy (weather)
A player
shall not enter a tournament and then withdraw when the player discovers that
tough opponents have also entered. A
player may withdraw from a match or tournament only because of injury, illness,
or personal emergency. A player who
cannot play a match shall notify the Referee at once so that the opponent may
be saved a trip. A player who withdraws
from a tournament is not entitled to the return of the entry fee unless the
player withdrew prior to the published refund deadline date.

Withdrawing and Refunds from the tournament
Refunds: To
receive a full refund for the tournament you must withdraw prior to Noon on
Friday Sept 25. The draw will be made at Noon on Tue, Sept 29
at NTC
If you have
entered and wish to withdraw prior to the entry deadline please go to the
tournament web page and click on Edit Registration. You will need your
confirmation number that you received in your confirmation e-mail to complete
the withdraw process.

Waterfall System for Splitting Competitors
The players
will be ordered using current standings and players from the younger age group
that meet the selection requirements will be added to the player list. The 32
players will be split as follows. Seeding will be made prior to the players
being split. Players from the lower age group that were selected and meet the
seeding criteria will be seeded according to the STA directions.
Red Draw: 1,4,5,8,9,12,13,16,17,20,21,24,25,28,29,32
White Draw: 2,3,6,7,10,11,14,15,18,19,22,23,26,27,30,31

11 and Under Green Ball Event
CRITERIA
FOR 11 AND UNDER STA LEVEL 3 EVENTS: When you are deciding which 12 and under event to enter remember to follow the criteria below.

1.January 1 to September 1 is a “grace period” where players have the
opportunity to play green ball or yellow to try to reach a 12 & Under
standing of 300.

2. After September 1, all 11 & under players will be required to play green
ball to reach the benchmark of 300 in the 12U Division in order to progress to 12U yellow ball play. When the top 300 benchmark is reached, players will be added to the Top 300 12U Benchmark Players, which can be found here. Note: Age-eligible 11U players who have reached the Top 300 Benchmark may participate in the 11U Green division. This change was put into effect May 19, 2015 for tournaments through December 31, 2015.

3 Points for 11 & under Green Division will be awarded STA L4 Points for the Feed In Thru Quarterfinals table.

4. One player from the top 20 of the 10 and under standings will be included in the draw of eight. .

5. Player must be 11 & under and sign up for this tournament in the "12 & Under Green Ball Division". Players who are not eligible to participate will be moved into the 12 & Under Yellow Ball Division where they fall on the list.
- 6. Players may enter both 11 & under green and 12 & under yellow. When selections are made, the 12 and under yellow is selected first, and if the player is selected, he/she is removed from consideration for the 11U green.

THIS IS A GEORGIA LEVEL 3 SUPER CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR BG 10-18. THIS
IS ALSO A SOUTHERN LEVEL 3 TOURNAMENT. The tournament is sanctioned
Saturday-Sunday. Since this tournament has a Southern Level 3
designation, the tournament is required to follow Southern
requirements. The draws are limited to 32 using the Waterfall
system to split the entrants into two draws of 16, with a full FIC
and 3/4 playoff in the main draw. Consolation Singles Scoring will
be the best of 2 sets with a Match Tie-Break in lieu of the third
set. Boys/Girls 10 & Under divisions must play all matches on a
60' court with a 25" racket and use low compression balls Using
short sets. In the event of inclement weather and alternate scoring
system may be used. Players are encouraged to use hotels listed on
the entry form. Early Check in and the tournament dinner will be
from 5-8 PM Friday, Oct 2 at Newman Tennis Center. For information

use the USTA's On-line registration. SUPER CHAMPIONSHIP - Open to
all players regardless of ranking. No refunds are made when players

LATE ENTRANTS - USTA Georgia will allow late entrants to be accepted into all USTA GA tournaments, Levels 1-5, in the event that the draw is not full, provided that such late entrants do not affect the seeding and further provided that late entrants do not prevent timely entrants to be accepted into the draw under any circumstances. Accepting late entrants is at the discretion of the Tournament Committee. Seeds must be posted by 12 noon following close of registration. Once draws are posted, the tournament is closed and can no longer accept late entries.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. Please consult your Section or District rules and regulations for entry requirements for this tournament. If you enter this tournament and are not eligible, any refund is as the discretion of the Tournament Director. Only USTA members can register online if available.
