Brandon Nakashima from San
Diego was the recipient of the 2015 Sportsmanship Award at the Boys 14 National
Clay Court Championship. Brandon, who took up tennis at the age of
three, has taken home many trophies over his tennis career. He is complimentary to his opponents and exhibiting
the best sportsmanship during his matches.

Events The USTA National Boys' 14 Clay Court Championships consists of a 128-player singles compass draw and a 64-team doubles draw with no consolation. National Clay Court Championships Hampton Inn Airport North 954-524-9900 www.hamptoninnftlauderdaleairport.com Registration/Mandatory Player Meeting Players are required to REGISTER at the Holiday Park Social Center between1:30 - 4:00 on SATURDAY, July 11, 2015. A waiver must be on file or filed out at registration by the parent or legal guardian. The Social Center is located in Holiday Park, just north of the Tennis Center. There will be a MANDATORY PLAYER MEETING for players, parents and coaches at 4:00pm on SATURDAY, July 11, 2015. Following the meeting, pizza will be served at this venue. Doubles Players are encouraged to sign up for doubles online when they register for singles. Doubles sign up will close at 4:00pm on Saturday, July 11.Please confirm your partners at the Doubles table located at registration. Balls The Wilson U S Open is the official ball of this event. Location Matches will be played on 18 clay courts at the Jimmy Evert Tennis Center and at the Lauderdale Tennis Club or additional sites as needed. If you are using a GPS, please use the address of the Social Center—1150 G. Harold Martin Drive, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304. Rules All USTA rules governing play and conduct will be strictly enforced. Matches This tournament will have a Compass draw. All main draw singles matches will be best of three sets with a 12-point tie break to be used at six-all for all sets. Singles - Non East Draws: Best of three tie break sets with a 10-point match tie break in lieu of third set. Doubles: Best of three tie break sets with a 10-point match tie break in lieu of third set, except for semi- finals, finals, and playoffs, which will be best of three sets with a 12-point tie break to be used at six-all for all sets. Scoring formats are subject to change due to weather conditions. Default TimePlayers failing to report at the tournament desk when called will be subject to USTA default rules. Dress Code All players shall dress and present themselves for play in tennis attire and wear appropriate footwear for clay courts. Practice Courts Practice courts will be available starting on Wednesday, July 8. More information will be given out during registration. Players are selected from a variety of National Lists and generally require Section endorsement.

It is the player’s responsibility to check the selection list(s) after registering online to be sure that a check mark appears beside the player’s name on the list, in order to insure proper registration. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, June 11, 2015 11:59:00 AM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
