EnteringTwo Divisions at USTA National Championship
The USTA Regulations prohibit a player from being entered, when entries close, in two or more tournaments if any part of the tournaments overlap, unless each Tournament Committee understands the situation and concurs in writing. There are exceptions to this rule on the national junior level.
The USTA National Championships, USTA National Sweet Sixteen, USTA National Selection Tournaments, Closed USTA Regional Tournaments, and Open USTA Regional Tournaments permit a player to enter more than one age division. However, it is important to understand the consequences of this decision.
If you want to play in one of these tournaments, but are unsure if you will get in, you may enter up to two different age divisions. When selection is done, players are selected for the oldest age division first. * If you are selected into the older age division entered, you will not be selected into the younger age division. * If you are not selected into the older age division, you will only be considered for selection into the younger division and you will only be eligible to be an alternate in the younger division. For additional information click the link below.

USTA NATIONAL JUNIOR WILD CARD INFORMATION
Number of Wild Cards * USTA National Championships: Up to 8 wild cards may be awarded per division. Eligibility: All wild card players must be eligible to enter the tournament, be in good standing with the applicant's Sectional Association, and may not be under suspension by the USTA. Applicants are not required to submit timely entries into the tournament to be considered for a wild card. Criteria: Beginning in January 2014, the USTA began publishing the criteria that will be used to select wild cards in Friend at Court. The criteria is as follows: * No player that is under suspension by the USTA, a Sectional Association, the ITF, the ITA, the WTA, or the ATP may be awarded a wild card. * No player who has a national standing below the standing of the first alternate may be awarded a wild card unless, in the opinion of the Wild Card Committee, the player will improve the overall strength of field of the tournament. * No player who submits a late wild card application may be considered. Timely entries into the tournament are recommended, but are not required. * A player with an established record in international, professional, or collegiate competition may be considered. * A player whose ability to qualify has been affected by injury, illness, or other personal circumstance may be considered. * A player with a high standing in a younger age division of the event may be considered. * A player with a high standing in the division of the event who was not endorsed by their Sectional Association may be considered, provided that the player has been recommended for a wild card by their Sectional Association. * A player who has been recommended for a wild card by the USTA National Coaching Staff may be considered. Wild Card Application: Applications MUST be filed separately for each tournament and received by the appropriate deadline (see below). Click the MORE INFO link to go to the online wild card application form. Deadline: Applications must be submitted online no later than 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time five (5) days after the entry deadline for the tournament for which the wild card is sought. Early application is strongly encouraged. Notification: Once the application deadline has passed, the USTA will confirm the applicant's status with the Sectional Association. Shortly thereafter the Wild Card Committee will meet to determine the wild card recipients. Only those players selected to receive wild cards will be notified.
NOTE: The information above applies ONLY to wild cards for USTA National Championships, USTA National Sweet Sixteens, and USTA National Spring Team Championships. See the TennisLink Tournament Home Pages for information on whether Wild Cards are available for USTA International Tournaments and ITF Tournaments.

Late Entrants
Late Entrants - players entering after the December 4th deadline at 11:59 am EST - will not be selected for the tournament. They are eligible to be placed on the Alternate List, but they will be placed at the bottom of the list in the order the late entry is received. Late Entrants have little to no chance of being accepted into the singles draw as the Alternate List typically consists of 50 to 150 players depending on the age division, and historically the tournament has approximately 10 Onsite Alternates per division. Late Entrants are eligible to enter doubles during Doubles Registration on December 26th but there is no guarantee you will make the doubles draw.
