10 & Under Earned Advancement
This tournament will follow the 10 & Under Earned Advancement Criteria. After the entry deadline, the Tournament Director will work with the Midwest office to determine Green Ball eligiblity for all applicants. Applicants who meet the Green Ball criteria will be selected into this tournament. Applicants who do not meet the Green Ball criteria will be moved to the Orange Ball tournament (the Orange Ball tournament will take place on Saturday, June 21- please see Tournament ID#8550001914).
In addition to being a great Midwest Section Level 3
tournament, this BG10 NEMTA Midwest Qualifier tournament is also played to
determine which players from our district will qualify for the USTA Midwest
Level 1 Outdoor Closed Championships scheduled for July 11-13 in Indianapolis,
Indiana. There will be one or two NEMTA quota spots from both the G10 and the
B10 events.
IMPORTANT NOTE - Players who will turn 11 years old in July can play in
this June BG10 qualifier tournament, and receive points for matches won, but
they will NOT be eligible to play in the Indianapolis tournament in July.
ELIGIBILITY - This tournament is open only to those players who reside
permanently in the Northeastern Michigan District.

for the tournament please make sure you enter all requested contact information
so that we have it in case we need to contact you about any important or last
minute changes in the tournament. Thank you.
POINTS PER ROUND AND DRAW FORMAT - For USTA/Midwest Points per Round
ranking purposes this is a Sectional Level 3 tournament. All matches will be
played outdoors, weather permitting. The tournament will feature a Full Feed-In
Consolation Draw format (all players who lose in the Main Draw through the
semifinals will feed into the Consolation Draw. A player must play and complete
all scheduled matches to be eligible to advance to the July Championship
tournament. The Stage One Green Dot ball will be used for all matches. Scoring
format will be two out of three sets, with a Match Tiebreak (first to 10, ahead
by 2) in lieu of a full third set.
USTA OFFICIALS - This is a USTA-sanctioned tournament and USTA officials
will be on-site throughout the tournament. Players who need assistance during a
match when an official is not directly on their court should go to the net and
raise their racquets. An official will assist as quickly as possible.
IMPORTANT: In USTA-sanctioned tournaments there should not be any communication
between players and spectators (parents, coaches, friends, etc.) at any time
during the match except during an authorized rest period (on the 3-minute rest
period between the finish of a second set and the beginning of a third set
match tiebreak). And, unless a match is completed players should not leave the
court for any reason without notifying an official.
SEEDING/DRAWS/INDIVIDUAL FIRST MATCH TIMES - The SEEDING and DRAWS will
be done on Wednesday, June 18, using the most recent USTA/Midwest Standings
List. INDIVIDUAL FIRST MATCH TIMES will be posted on this site by 10 am on Thursday,
June 19. Seeding for this tournament will be done using the most current
Midwest Standing Lists for Boys and Girls 10.
IMPORTANT: Some
matches may need to be scheduled for Friday, June 20 (not to start before Noon)
and players must be available to play if scheduled for a Friday match. It is
also possible that a few matches may need to be played on Monday, June 23, so
please be prepared for that possibility. DRAWS will be posted on this site by
5:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 19.
PRACTICE COURTS - Information about
practice court availability will be posted on this site when Individual First
Match Times are posted.
TOURNAMENT WITHDRAWALS - All withdrawals prior to the entry deadline
must be done on this site (see Edit Registration above). All withdrawals made
after the entry deadline must be made by phone and in writing to Cindy Vickery,

All requests must include PLAYER NAME, USTA NUMBER & A DETAILED REASON FOR
THE WITHDRAWAL. There will not be any refunds issued for withdrawals made after
noon on Wednesday, June 18, 2013.
