Tournament Information
USTA/MIDWEST POINTS PER ROUND For USTA/Midwest Points per Round ranking purposes, this is a Sectional Level 3 tournament. All matches will be played outdoors, weather permitting.
GENERAL TOURNAMENT INFORMATION In addition to being a great Level 3 Sectional tournament, the NEMTA Midwest Qualifier tournament is also played to determine which players from our district advance to the Midwest Level 1 Outdoor Closed Championships (MOCC) scheduled for June 21-26, 2014. The top two finishers (Main Draw Champion and the winner of a playoff between the Main Draw Finalist and Consolation Draw Winner) from each age division will qualify for entry into the MOCC. The playoff will happen even if these two players have played each other already once during the tournament in the Main Draw. The NEMTA Qualifier will feature a Full Feed-In Consolation Draw format, meaning that all players who lose in the Main Draw through the semifinals will feed into the Consolation Draw. A player must PLAY & COMPLETE all scheduled matches to be eligible for the endorsement.
SEEDING/DRAWS/MATCH TIMES & MORE Seeding and draws will be done on Tuesday, June 3, using the most recent USTA/Midwest Standing List for each age division. Individual First Match Times will be posted on this site by noon on Wednesday, June 4. Some matches will be scheduled for Friday, June 6 and players must be available to play on Friday, if scheduled. For larger divisions it may be necessary to play some final matches on Monday, June 9, or Tuesday, June 10. Please be prepared for this possibility. Draws will be posted on this site by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 5. SCORING FORMAT will be the best of three tie-break sets, regular scoring, with a Set Tiebreak (first to 7, ahead by 2) in any set where games reach six all.
TOURNAMENT BALL The Wilson Regular Duty ball will be used for this tournament.
