The
Olympic Club is located at:

Skyline Blvd.
San
Francisco, CA 94132
When
entering the club, you will pass the driving range on the right, and enter the
area with main parking on the right and main clubhouse on the left. Continue straight down Humphrey drive, and
you will see the courts below on the left. We have a new tennis parking area on the right
down Humphrey Drive. From there, it’s a
shorter walk down to the tennis center.

DRESS CODE
Boys/Men
must wear collared shirts if short-sleeved.
If long-sleeved, athletic shirts without a collar are permitted.
Girls/Ladies
may wear collarless tennis attire, but it must be athletic cut without writing
all over.
Jeans are not allowed at the Olympic
Club, nor is cell phone use permitted while on club property.
People may use PDA’s for non-phone use which is not obtrusive.
Shoes must
be tennis shoes with non-marking soles.
All players must have a pocket or a manner in which to carry an extra
ball.

SCORING
All players will play one short set with no-ad
scoring. Short sets means that players play first to win 4 games. A regular, 12-point tiebreaker will be played
if the score reaches 4-4. There are
score cards on each of the courts.
Players should try to use them at each change over. Players are expected to call the score before
each point when serving.

DRAWS
Girls- All girls will play a round-robin
draw format, meaning they will play several rounds whether they win or
lose. There are two flights of 4 players
that play multiple rounds in their individual draws. Doubles will follow singles.
Boys- All boys will play a round-robin draw
format as well. There are two flights of
4 players that play multiple rounds in their individual draws. Doubles will follow singles.

DOUBLES
Doubles will
follow singles play in both boys’ and girls’ draws. Some players have signed up with
partners. Others have been paired up by
tournament director. Scoring for doubles
will be the same as singles: One short
set with no-ad scoring.

MEALS
We will have snacks onsite throughout the afternoon
for players, but there will not be food available for purchase for
players. There are numerous restaurants
nearby, so it would be beneficial to make note of the different options in the
area.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Wednesday, March 12, 2014 11:59:00 PM Pacific Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
