TOURNAMENT DETAILS:
A) Format: 8 game proset, using a compass draw that guarantees each team 3 matches. Each draw is limited to 32 teams.
B) Selection Process: Teams shall be selected in the order of their combined standings using the most recently published Doubles Seeding List of the division. For example, Player A holds the #1 standing and Player B holds the #10 standing. The Team of A&B would have the combined standing of 11. A team with a combined standing greater than 11 is selected after Team A&B. If there is a tie, the team with the player that has the highest doubles standing on the list shall be selected first.
All teams not selected shall be placed on Alternate Lists that are ordered using the same methods of selecting players or teams into the tournament described in above. The Alternate Lists shall be used to replace withdrawing players and teams, except that a Late Entry may not be accepted into the draw if it invalidates the seeding.
C) Doubles Partner Notification Deadline: Doubles players shall advise the Head Referee of their partnership choice before 6:00 PM Monday, August 18th. Players who remain unpaired after 6:00 PM Monday, August 18th, will be randomly paired by the Tournament Committee. Unpaired players wishing to withdraw may do so before that deadline without penalty.
D) Team Selection Publication Requirement. The doubles team selection lists shall be published no later than 10:00 am on the Wednesday before the start of the tournament.
E) Late Entries: When an event has a limited draw size, Late Entries are placed on the Alternate List after timely entries in the order they are received. Late Entries received at the same time are ordered by lot. If accepted from the Alternate List, a player will be notified via email if a spot becomes available. If offered a spot, players will be given a short amount of time to respond.
