11-5-14 1:35PM - IT WAS BROUGHT TO OUR ATTN. THAT WE USED THE INCORRECT SEEDING LIST FOR OUR DBLS EVENT. WE THEREFORE HAD TO REDO THE SEEDS, AND ALL THE DRAWS. WE APOLOGIZE FOR THIS INCONVENIENCE. MOST OF THE TIMES ARE VERY SIMILAR TO WHAT WAS ORIGINALLY POSTED. IN ADDITION, THE GIRLS 18'S IS NOW A DRAW OF 8. LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING YOU THIS WEEKEND!

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
Each division will have a maximum of 32 doubles teams. The format will be points of the compass, and each team will be guaranteed 3 matches

TOURNAMENT SELECTION PROCESS
Teams shall be selected in the order of their combined standings using the most recently published Doubles Seeding List of the division. For example, Player A holds the #1 standing and Player B holds the #10 standing. The Team of A&B would have the combined standing of 11. A team with a combined standing greater than 11 is selected after Team A&B. If there is a tie, the team with the player that has the highest doubles standing on the list shall be selected first. All teams not selected shall be placed on Alternate Lists that are ordered using the same methods of selecting players or teams into the tournament described in above. The Alternate Lists shall be used to replace withdrawing players and teams, except that a Late Entry may not be accepted into the draw if it invalidates the seeding.

ELIGIBILITY
This tournament is open only to residents of USTA NorCal. USTA membership is required. Players must meet the age eligibility requirements of the division entered.

DRAW SIZE AND MATCH FORMAT
The draw is limited to 32 teams in each division. A Compass Draw will be played. All matches will be an 8 game Pro Set, with a Tiebreaker at 8 games all.
If draws are full, each team will be guaranteed 3 matches; if draws are not full, the Tournament Committee will use its best efforts to ensure that teams play 3 matches. If draws are full, we anticipate playing 3 rounds on Saturday, and two on Sunday

DOUBLES PARTNERSHIPS
Players may enter the tournament without a partner. If more than 32 teams have entered, selection shall be based on teams entered as partnership (see selection process below). If fewer than 32 teams have entered, all players will be selected. Players without partners shall have until the end of the day on Monday, November 3, to notify the Tournament Committee of a partnership. Please email gordon.collins@bayclubs.com with both players names and please include both players on the email. Players without partners as of the end of the day on November 3 will be placed on the alternate list.

SEEDINGS
The Computerized List Method of seeding will be used. Teams shall be seeded by the Tournament Committee in the order of their combined ranking using the most recently published Doubles Seeding List. Teams with USTA National, ITF, ITA, WTA and ATP standings and rankings may also be considered for seeding.

LATE ENTRIES
Pursuant to USTA Regulations, late entries shall be placed on the bottom on the alternate list in the order received. Late entries received at the same time will be ordered by lot. To submit a late entry, email the player's name, USTA number, division of entry, email address and cell phone number to gordon.collins@bayclubs.com

WITHDRAWALS PRIOR TO ENTRY DEADLINE!
Prior to entries closing, a player may withdraw and automatically receive a refund of your entry fee by clinking on the "Withdrawal" link that is in the Edit Registration box at the top right of this page.

WITHDRAWALS AFTER ENTRY DEADLINE
Immediately contact gordon.collins@bayclubs.com if you need to withdraw from the tournament after entries close. If the withdrawal is due to a injury or illness after the draw is published, the USTA Regulations reuire the injured or ill player to submit written verification from a medical professional before the end of the day on November 9th. If the withdrawal is due to a personal circumstance, the player must submit a written description of the situaiton no later than the end of the day on November 9th and the Referee shall determine whether the situation is a personal circumstance. Written verification can be emailed to gordon.collins@bayclubs.com

CHANGES TO THE DRAW
Although not anticipated,, any change to a player's start time will be communicated by email and telephone message, and any change to a player's opponent (unless it is due to the replacement of a withdrawing player that does not result moving players), will be communicated by email.

INCLEMENT WEATHER INFORMATION
Information on and how inclement weather affects the tournament schedule will be posted to this website as court conditions change. We will update this information on the hour when weather has a potential impact on scheduling.

TIME AND PLACE OF DRAW
It is anticipated that the draw will take place at Bay Club Courtside on or about Tuesday, November 4. For specific information, please contact gordon.collins@bayclubs.com

PRACTICE COURTS
No practice courts will be available at our sites while play is going on. In the area, other sites to try would be; West Valley College - 3 miles away - 16 courts Campbell Recreation - 3 miles away - 4 courts Saratoga High School - 4 miles away - 8 courts

WATER AND ICE
Water sources are available at all sites, with ice being provided at Bay Club Courtside

TOURNAMENT EVALUATIONS
We highly recomend that you complete an evaluation on this tournament. Annual feedback from our participants is the best way for us to continue to improve the quality of the event for everyone. You will need your USTA membership number to complete the evaluation.
