alternates - I have had no withdrawals from the main draw in your
division. If I do, I will contact players immediately in order of
the alternates list posted on the tournament homepage. You also can
chose to be an on-site alternate in case there is a no show. If you
chose to do so, you must check in at the tournament desk at Gold River
Racquet Club 15 minutes before play begins in the division (8:45 AM)
identifying yourself as an onsite alternate. On-site alternates are taken
in the same order they appear on the published alternates list. * Both of
our clubs have Cafes that sell water, sports drinks, snacks and lunch
items. We have ice machines but ask that you fill your coolers at
home or your hotel as our ice machines do not produce enough for ice
chests so please be thoughtful of others. There are areas to fill
your containers with water as well as water jugs on court. * A quick reminder it is very
important for players to check-in on time for ALL matches and stay within
the area to hear their name called. None of us like giving out
penalties but must apply the same standards to everyone in fairness to all
who participate in the event in abiding by the rules set forth by the
USTA. It is equally important for those on the sidelines to abide by
the behavioral expectations of a junior sporting event. * Match
times for the second weekend will be posted after the first weekend is
complete. The times are usually available online by Monday evening. * Weather is predicted to reach the low 90's over the weekend. Please take measures to hydrate before, during and after your matches. There is a lot of good information on heat and hydration on the USTA website:
