Tournament scheduling update
Attention all players! Due to the partial play completed this weekend with the rain, we are working on rescheduling all of the matches. As of now, the main draw, consolation and doubles is still a go. we will be playing this Friday the 28th starting at 8a. please check the draws for possible start time changes after 9p on Tuesday. Also, on Thursday night check to make sure that your opponent has not withdrawn and you can also see if we have a weather delay at that point. We will be updating the rain delay info 2 hrs before the start on Friday the 28th. Friday weather looks good right now so hopefully we will not have any delays and there will be no message. Remember, the rain hotline is 925 9372582. Only use this number if you do not have access to the Internet or you are en route to the club and it starts raining. Again, please check for your start time and then double check. Players are responsible for finding their own start times! Thanks for your patience during the delay last weekend! We had a lot of great matches!

Rain delay info and hotline!
Currently there is no delay. We will update this message 2hrs before the start of all matches on a given tournament day if it is raining. If it is raining after 8p on the night before the tournament, we may start a delay then. Please check this section of the notes to stay up to date on a possible delay. We will not cancel a day before noon due to the rules. We have lights, so plan on playing under them if we experience delays due to rain. The format may change if we experience a delay. The rain hotline is 925 9372582. Please only call this # in case of an emergency or if you are en route to the club and it begins to rain. If you are driving from more than 2 hrs out then you may call the director directly. Unfortunately, usually we will not be able to start a delay more than 2 hrs before the first match times.

If this is a weekday event then we will try to complete in the first 3 days. Weekday events will usually start at 1130a or later. If we have large draws or incliment weather then we may use the second weekend or the 4th and 5th day of a scheduled weekday event.

Format
The match format for challenger players is an 8 game pro set regular scoring for singles and doubles. The tournament format is First round match loser consolation. If you reach the semis of the singles then you will play a play off match for third and fourth.

Attention all players and alternates
Thank You for applying for the tournament! This is a limited draw/tournament director selection tournament. The selection process is determined by the usta. If you were not accepted then you were automatically put on an alternate list and we will notify you if a spot opens up. Please email us if you do not want to be put on the alternate list. You also will not be charged for your entry fee. This is a new tournament that was sanctioned this year. The problem with the usta sanctioning a new tournament and not a longstanding one is that we cannot prepare for the amount of players ahead of time. We hate turning any players away and would like to give the most amount of players an opportunity to play. Please check your start time on friday just in case your opponent has withdrawn and your schedule changes!

Selection process, Eligibility, Seeding
This tournament is a Tournament Director selection process. That means that you are not in the tournament until we accept you. Most likely we will accept all players unless we have extreme large draws. We will follow the usta rules on the selection process if we do not accept all players. It is a top down selection process for open players and bottom up for challenger players. Eligibility to this tournament is open to all usta members that fall in the correct age brackets. If your birthday is during the same month of the tournament then you must play in the next higher age group. The seeding method that is used is whatever the current norcalusta list is on the day that we do the draws.
