Tournament Play Cancelled For Sunday
We have decided to cancel play for Sunday as the rain has returned and after looking at the radar we are probably not going to be able to dry courts at all today. I will be in contact with everyone who is still in the tournament for the option of getting play completed at a later date either here at Tahoe Donner or another site. Thank you so much for all your patience and we look forward to you all returning next year. Ian Mindell

Start Times Pushed Back To 11:15am
We are pushing start times to 11:15am. So each group will now have start times of 11:15am , 12:15pm and 1:15pm. If we are still not able to start the first round of play by noon we will most likely cancel play for the day and then make other arrangements to try and complete matches. Thank you, Ian Mindell

90 Minute Delay - 10:30am Start Times
We are wet again this morning however it is warmer so that should give us an opportunity to dry courts a little bit quicker. We are pushing all times back 90 minutes so those that had a start of 9am will now start at 10:30 and so forth. I will make another update at 9am if we are looking at a further delay. We appreciate your patience and you are more than welcome to come over and hang out as well as eat some more breakfast and lunch items that we have. Thank you, Ian Mindell

Play Suspended - Restart Sunday at 9am
Thank you to all that helped get the tournament started today. Mother Nature however had other ideas and we ended up getting rained out for the remainder of the day. For tomorrow morning the following players will need to be at the tennis center at 9am with conditions permitting to resume or start your matches. We will be switching to an 8 game pro set with regular scoring format for the remainder of the tournament. Here is the list for the 9am start times. Ray Marto Tony Jelinek Rocky Pierson John Wlcek Gerald Sydorak Ernest Wong John Dougery Bill Leyshock Mike Dozier Richard Krinks James Giancola Russ Jilot David Olson Jennifer Olson Erwin Heieck Janet Wilkes Oksanna Sydorak Louise Tierney Chris Morgan Jan Wright
The following are the players that are going to try and start at 10am. Dolly Melim Richard Melim Kari Schauer Janet Wilkes
The following divisions will try and begin play at 11am. Mens 50 and 60 doubles.
Remember these are all approximations and we appreciate your patience. I will also make any adjustments to this start time beginning at 7am tomorrow morning when I try and assess the conditions of the courts.
Thank you and see you tomorrow. Ian Mindell

Play To Start at 10:45
We are still drying up the courts and we are hoping to get play started at 10:45. All matches scheduled for noon or later might be delayed but we will make every attempt to get matches started as close to the regular start times as possible. Please check in on or before your regular start time so we can get your match out on court ASAP. Thank you, Ian Mindell

9am Match Times Delayed Until 10am - Saturday, September 27th
With the overnight rain leaving the courts wet we will need a little bit of extra time to get the courts playable. We are looking at delaying the start of today's play to 10am. If you have a match scheduled at 10am or later please make a point to be here on time as we have extra courts that will give us the opportunity to get matches back on schedule. I will update this if we get any changes ASAP. Thank you, Ian Mindell

Weather Delays
We will more than likely have clean air to breath this weekend due to a southerly wind but with that brings the threat of rain. We will make every attempt to play all the matches as scheduled. If the rain disrupts our normal schedule we will try and keep the website up to date as to changes in the draws, format, start times as so forth. We also have a small enough event that we will also try and call or email when possible. Thank you and I hope to see you on the courts, Ian Mindell

Seedings Complete - Draws Posted
We are looking forward to a fun weekend of tennis at the 4th Annual Tahoe Donner Senior Tournament. The draws have been completed and posted so please make sure to check for your draw times. We will have Friday play for most players in the mens 60 and 70 singles divisions. Those players that play Friday evening please stick around after play for some food and beverages as we kick off the weekend of play. Thank you and good luck. Ian Mindell

3rd - 4th Playoff
Since the draws are small we decided to add to your playing opportunities with a 3rd-4th playoff for all players that make it too or are already in a semifinal. The Womens 60 doubles and Mixed 60 doubles are round robins so please make sure to check all of your draw times closely so you won't miss out on the extra play. Thank you. Ian Mindell

Online Draws Have Closed - Email / Phone Entries Will Still Be Accepted
The online draws have closed but we will still be accepting event entries for the rest of the day today, Monday, September 22nd. We will try and post draws Tuesday afternoon for play to begin on Friday for some divisions. Further information as to which draws will be playing on Friday will be posted soon. Thank you, Ian Mindell

Friday Play - Two Doubles
We are introducing Friday play this year as we look to lower the number of matches that are played per person on Saturday and Sunday. The goal would be to play as late as possible in the evening on Friday to get a round of play completed early. If you cannot play at all on Friday please let me know in an email so I can do my best to schedule around this conflict. We also want to encourage players that are wanting to play more than one doubles event that they can do so if scheduling will allow. The website will only allow you to enter one doubles division so if you are wanting to play a second doubles event then email me your request and I will try and work that into the schedule. This will still mean that you can only play two total events so please do not plan on playing singles and two doubles events. That will not be allowed. Thank you and I am looking forward to a great event this fall. Ian Mindell

Concurrent Tournament Rule
A player shall not be entered at the time entries close in two or more USTA sanctioned tournaments scheduled to take place at the same time, in whole or in part, unless each Tournament Committee involved understands the situation, concurs in writing, and each agrees to accommodate the player’s schedule. The final decision rests with each tournament committee. If one tournament agrees to accept concurrent entries and accommodate the player's schedule but the concurrent tournament does not, the player may not enter both. If entries for the overlapping tournaments close on different dates, approval must be received from all Tournament Committees no later than the entry closing date that occurs last. Players who enter a tournament and play it to completion, may then enter another tournament with overlapping dates without permission. If a player violates this concurrent tournament rule ranking points earned in any concurrent tournament played will not count toward ranking or the Grand Prix Points Race and the concurrent tournaments will not count toward the minimum tournament requirement to qualify for Grand Prix.
