UPDATED Wednesday evening:
All the singles events are Compass Draws, where every player plays
3 matches, win or lose. Click under "Draws" and look through the
various brackets to see what times you play. In a singles draw,
click first on the E.
Doubles will be played before the singles. Click on Round 1 to see
the time of the first match and Round 2 to see the time of the
second match.
UPDATED Monday afternoon:
**The total number of entries was originally limited to 32.
However, we received well over that and have expanded the total
number of entries to include EVERYONE who entered by the deadline.
All the girls and 16 of the boys will play in the morning from 7:45
a.m - noon. 24 boys will play in the afternoon from 12:45 - 5 pm.
You can see which time you will play by looking at the draws, which
will be published on Wed 10/15.
**Check-in at the Tournament Desk no later than 7:45 a.m. if
you're in a morning flight, and no later than l2:45 if you're in an
afternoon flight. (The tournament is just on Saturday; there is no
play on Sunday.)
**All players will play BOTH singles and same gender doubles (no
mixed doubles).
DRIVING DIRECTIONS
From highway 880 (going either north or south), exit at Warren Blvd
and go west (towards the Bay). The club is just past the Hyatt
Place Hotel on the right side of Warren, at the corner of Landing
Pkwy. From highway 680, take the southern Mission Blvd exit and go
west (toward the Bay). At Warm Springs Blvd, turn left (south) and
go one block to the stoplight at Warren Ave. Turn right, you will
go under the railroad tracks and then over highway 880, where
you'll see the Hyatt Place Hotel, with ClubSport just past
it.
PLAYER INFORMATION
1. The Tournament Desk and courts are located at ClubSport Fremont,
46650 Landing Pkwy, at the corner of Warren Blvd, which is on the
west side of Hwy 880 at the south end of Fremont.
2. All players and guests must sign in at Front Desk upon
arrival.
3. Check-In at the Tournament Desk (near the gym) by 7:45 for the
morning flights and 12:45 for the afternoon flights, and be fully
ready walk onto the court to play at that time. (Please fill up
your water bottle and use the restroom before checking-in.) At 7:45
and 12:45, the Tournament Director will describe the particulars of
the event to all the players together, and then assign courts for
the first matches.
4. Snack Bar hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
5. The total number of entries in the tournament is limited to 48.
If more than 48 entries are received by the deadline, we will
select players by lot. All those not selected will be put on the
Alternates List, unless you contact the tournament director
otherwise. Entry fees will be charged after the selection is made.
(If a selected player drops out and you get in as an alternate, you
will need to send your credit card information -- type, number,
expiration date and zip code -- to the tournament director prior to
Saturday.)
6. Players will play BOTH singles and doubles in a round robin or
compass draw format. Players who enter without specifying a doubles
partner will be paired up by the Tournament Director.
Play is from 7:45 a.m. - 12:30 and 12:45 - 5:30 p.m. approximately
on Saturday. Players will play in the morning or the afternoon (but
not both) at the tournament's discretion.
7. Entrants will play approximately 2 doubles matches composed of
one 10 point tie-break, and 3 singles matches (win or lose)
composed of one 6 game set, with a 7 point tie-break. There will be
no playoffs between flights.
8. Matches are played indoors and outdoors at the tournament's
discretion. Outdoor matches may be played under lights. Warm-up
courts may be available immediately prior to the start of play, but
will mostly not be available during the event.
9. If it rains, call 510-226-8500 ext.516 to find out if the
schedule has changed.
10. Complimentary snacks are available throughout tournament.
11. Ringers on all cell phones must be turned off when in the
tennis court area.
12. If a player must withdraw from the tournament before the entry
deadline, it can be done online at the entry website. If a player
must withdraw from the tournament after the entry deadline, contact
the Tournament Director at 510-226-8500 ext.516 AND at
lparker@clubsports.com.
13. Penn Green Dot Control balls are used.
14. Many families fill out the online evaluation form after
completing the event. Please go to
