Concurrent Tournament Rule
A player shall not be entered at the time entries close in two or more USTA sanctioned tournaments scheduled to take place at the same time, in whole or in part, unless each Tournament Committee involved understands the situation, concurs in writing, and each agrees to accommodate the player’s schedule. The final decision rests with each tournament committee. If one tournament agrees to accept concurrent entries and accommodate the player's schedule but the concurrent tournament does not, the player may not enter both. If entries for the overlapping tournaments close on different dates, approval must be received from all Tournament Committees no later than the entry closing date that occurs last. Players who enter a tournament and play it to completion, may then enter another tournament with overlapping dates without permission. If a player violates this concurrent tournament rule ranking points earned in any concurrent tournament played will not count toward ranking or the Grand Prix Points Race and the concurrent tournaments will not count toward the minimum tournament requirement to qualify for Grand Prix.

Notes
SPECIAL OFFER:
During weekdays between November 17-26, tournament entrants may
make court reservations to try out the indoor courts by paying a
special rate of $15 per person for the guest fee. (Normally, it's
$25, and you must play with a member.) Call the Front Desk no more
than 3 days in advance at 510-226-8500 ext 505 (e.g. on Friday for
Monday).
ENTRY INFORMATION:
A. Until we actually make all the draws, we cannot tell how the
schedule of matches will shake out. In other words, we cannot tell
if a flight will only be played on one weekend. So when entering,
you should plan on being available to play both weekends.
B. If you just have a few hours on one day during which you cannot
play, we can often work around your time constraint. In that case,
send an email to lparker@clubsports.com, listing the starting and
ending times that you are not able to be at the club, and the
reason for the time constraint. If it does not work out and we
cannot put you into the draw, we will either not charge your credit
card or refund (by check) your entry fee a few weeks after the
tournament is finished.
C. Players may enter at most 1 singles event and 1 doubles event.
In other words, players may enter singles and doubles, or singles
and mixed, but not singles and doubles and mixed, nor mens or
womens doubles and mixed, nor singles or doubles in two divisions
(like 3.0 and 4.0). All events are single elimination (i.e. there
is no consolation bracket).
D. When signing up for doubles, both partners must submit an entry
online.
E. Draws must have a minimum of 3 entries to be held. Draws may be
limited, depending on the total number of entrants. According to
USTA NorCal regulations, entry is NOT on a FIRST COME - FIRST
SERVED basis. If needed, teams/players will randomly be pulled out
of the largest draws and placed on the alternate list. If they do
not get to play, their entry fee will either not be charged to
their credit card or refunded by check a few weeks after the
tournament is completed.
F. If a player must withdraw from the tournament before the entry
deadline, it can be done online at the entry website. If a player
must withdraw from the tournament after the entry deadline, contact
the Tournament Director at 510-226-8500 ext.516 AND at
lparker@clubsports.com.

match times. If there are wholesale changes to the schedule, a
message will be left on the tournament website.
5. Matches for the SECOND WEEKEND will mostly be scheduled
initially, but may be scheduled after completion of the first

used for warm-up if it is not used for matches. Outdoor matches may
be played under lights. Some matches will be played in the EVENING.

at ClubSport Pleasanton, if absolutely necessary. If there are any
drastic changes to the schedule on the days of the event, a message
will be left on the tournament director's voicemail: 510-226-8500
x516.)
7. Although 2 of the outdoor courts are available to members to
reserve, if they are open during the tournament, they may be used
by tournament entrants for warm-up. Also, the indoor courts are
available 30 minutes prior to the first matches of the day (8:00 on
the first 3 days and 9:00 on the final Sunday) for warm-up on a
first come first served basis, while the referree sets up the
courts.
8. Matches are the best 2 out of 3 sets, regular scoring, with a
regular 7 point tie-break at six all. Alternative scoring system a
10 point tie-break in lieu of the 3rd set may be used, if
necessary. All events are single elimination.
